worst weekend i guess, well, on friday my oil light came on, i had a busy weekend coming up so i added a quart of Lucas 100% petroleum oil. oil light turned off, ok, on with the weekend plans. Sunday wasa a very hot day, i live in sunny south side california and i was pretty much doing excess speeding going home on a 6 mile trip and den i rolled up to a ls/vtec. I had to race him, well, in 3rd i felt a power loss around 5,000 rpms and so i shifted and their was no rpms going up. well engine dies, had to use my buff arms to control the steering wheel after my power steering went off too. well i pull over to check the engine, i hear oil or som kind of liquid boiling near the turbo.i check the coolant tank and its kinda near the minumum line. i fill it up wit water, den check da oil, steam or smoke comes out after i take off the oil cap, i proceed to fill up the motor with 2 quarts of 20w50 syn blend and 1 quart of Lucas, and the oil reading was at the top line, a lil over, ok. well i fire up the motor and it starts but idles rough, well after i leave it running it dies once, and then ii fire it up then i proceed on my 1 mile trip home, i noticed that alot of white smoke comes out. i hear kind of a noise that would resemple a stick being stuck into a rotating bike tire that has spokes, well i turned off the kar on a up hill position ( my drive way) and i leave it. i go back after an hour and fire it upat the beginng, theirs a clinking noise ( but goes away after a couple of seconds, i proceed to rev the engine past 3,000 rpms and it starrts shooting a cloud of white smoke.Does anyone know what happened and what i might need to do,

My engine is a SR20DET red top, with hks intake, performance muffler, and stock b.o.v. , stock smic, stock turbo.and i know i had a ripped exhuast manifold gasket.

white smoke...I think means a blown headgasket...check your compression

I second that motion. Wierd however taht you have noises as such coming from your engine. If anything this will give you a good chance to put in a better headgasket for that boost.

Sounds like a blown turbo to me...

Hint - Never add any oil additive... it promotes frothing of the oil. Which may have in this case caused your turbocharger to die.

The stick in bike spoke sound is like a knock description almost. My first guess for white smoke is the head gasket has blown and allowed coolant into the combustion chamber. My second thought about it is that the water could have slightly entered the oil (causing boiling sound) and through the bearings spinning it (or wore it out) causing a rod knock at start up.

There was actually a big writeup on this a year or so ago on an oil board. They were having a problem with trucks blowing trannies and rear ends(we are talking about new rigs here). It turns out that they were adding lucas to the transmission and diff. fluid and it was frothing it. Thus premature failure ensued.

Open your valve cover and check your rocker arms. Sounds kind of like what happened to me.
