I've been talking about white 240s alot lately I found a 89 hatch but got screwed over on the deal so I kept looking and found a clean coupe only problem is the 3rd and 4th cylander r missing and the cat is cloggedAny ideas on how much it would be to fix? He wants 1250 for it said he'd throw in a new high flow catIt's an automatic so ima do a swap any estimates on thatas well?

So you're basically buying a shell. I wouldn't pay over a grand for it. I'm sure some here wouldn't pay more than $500 for a shell.

wouldn't pay more than $500 for it. like the above stated its basically a shell. sounds like you're not going to do the labor and askin for estimate to fix it. its gonna be a grip if you ain't gonna do the labor

Soo, you're getting a 2 cylinder 240 coupe, with a cat that is constipated??????? j/k

Lol yaaaaaa It's a 20 yeah old car it's not perfect the body is in greeeaaat condition so is the paint it just needs a bit of work under the hood it's my little project and I love getting to work on my car especially because it's my first car and it's a 240 it's a dream come true

about the 5 speed swap. I say either save up and pay 300 to 400 for all the manual parts plus another 400 for labor or so. Thats 800 bucks for a manual swap. ORRR you can save about 2 more grand and get a manual swap while getting an SR20

Haha ya I'm not sure what engine I want to go with yet either a strong ka sr20 or rb25 what should I get first? the manual swap, the engine, or both at the same timeI'm gettig a camera soon so I'll put up some pics soon the body is clean and it's lower than hell to the floor it's got rear matrix coil overs and front cut springs I'll get coil overs for the front later anyone know if matrix is a good brand?

buy a decent shell tht is still really good and just put all the money in that and build the car to your wants and needs

and plus if you are goin to have a project car you mine as well just buy a shell

I would not pay more than $500-750 depending how clean it is. Have you friend check out the body, especially for rush and frame/underbody damage.Also, take a magnet and check for bondo on the exterior.

If you want to swap in a different engine (other than the KA) you should wait on the manual swap until you buy the new engine. This is because the new engine uses a different transmission.

I have never heard of matrix. But cut front springs are a no no, very unsafe and sucky. I would buy some shocks/spring combo or some decent coilovers.

the car is practically fully stock so I can still build it to w/e I wAnt the body is super clean and it's got a new leather interior I'm not sure on my liking of leather but it Is clean though the dash has about 4 mad cracks In itTomorrow I'm getting new fuel injectors and hopfully that will fire the cylinders back up it's got a new fuel pump installed and a new catalytic converter and wTer pump that the seller gave me uninstalledLike I said I'll get pics of it when my moms camera comes in the mailAnd I need a new battery a d possibly a new alternator

Also I googled matrix coilovers found something about them On a Honda forum they're cheap in price and quality and it was on a Honda forum so I'll definetly swap em out

way overpriced as others have stated. Don't pay a penny over 700.

I already have it so it's a little late for that I thought it was just the injectors when I got it but a few more things have popped up sinceThe intake is dirty and smells like gas can anyone gve me any possibilities?

Had an interestng day yesterday started working on my car had to get the alternator out sad thing was it took almost all day it was hard to get in there and get it out took for ever for us to get the stands to keep the car up then I went to this guys house I met and he just swapped in a twin cam into his s13 so he had parts from his old engine I got 4 clean fuel injectors a good distributor a fan clutch the pipping for my air intake cuz mine was damaged along with his intake cuz mine was dirty his head cover mine looked like s*** a few good belts and a ford t3 turbo without the manifold and piping all for $180
