What's going on fellas...

Well, i finally got around to getting my coilovers put on. They are BC branded coilovers. So far i'm very happy with the ride and the look of my setup, but I do think I will raise the car up just a little bit. After that, I think i'll tweak the dampening a little bit and that should be it.

Now, i'm just needing to grab up a set of TPMS sensors and I'll be getting my wheels and tires mounted. Lol, yes i'm hella slow on upgrading my cars. But I'm in no rush.

On a different note, I have some slighlty used Tein S springs that I will let go for cheap. Buyer pays shipping. I purchased these from another member a long time ago but never got around to putting them on my M35.

Very sporty, going to look very VIP on the Works. It takes forever to find 11+ Tpms used, I'd browse the Z/G forums...

Also may need new lugnuts to mount the Works, otherwise keep it going nice progress.

ps: Show those exhaust tips some love! I used Brasso on mine and am GLAD I did

thanks Bro..

yeah, i'm somewhat anxious to see the finished product. And as for the exhaust; the car is somewhat dirty, and hasn't been thoroughly washed in a week or so. Lots of rain and wet streets here with more on the way.

As for those TPMS, i'm probably just gonna end up getting some new ones, i guess eventually.

Wheels have been put on.

I went with the same tires that i'm running on the stock wheels. Conti ExtremeContact DW sizes 245/40 and 275/35 rears. I love the way the rear looks, IMO it's almost perfect (20x10 et32). However I think the front could use maybe a 5mm spacer to complete it's look. Also, i'll let some of you have your say, but I think i'm rolling on a little too much rubber. Maybe it's just me, since I actually raised the car a little bit the day before I had the wheels put on. Lol, that dang front lip was crazy low and caused me too many headaches.

I'll get pictures posted very soon. We have snow and ice on the ground here.

I also added a set of Osram Xenarc 5k Bulbs. So far i'm not really impressed with these. I got them from theretrofitsource.com. I have some 3k fogs that i'll install shortly.

With the little mod money i have left over, i'm trying to decide on either intake or exhaust....

I know some guys prefer more rubber but I like a rim with a slight stretch...to me your tire sizes make me agree that it's too much rubber lol.

Let's see some pix of the new wheels on the ride!

Ok, here are a few pics that were taken on the day the wheels were installed. Yes, they are crappy cell phone pics but that's all that I have for now. The roads are still a mess here and the car is not looking clean at all (even with limited driving). After these were taken, I also made a few minor tweaks to the suspension and had the alignment redone.

06M4.5 --- That tire size sounds appealing, but there are very few quality matching sets for this size. I contemplated going with the 245/35 and 275/30's, and I may have to revisit that thought. Well atleast the tires that I have now are the "optional" size for the factory 20's. So I may be able to still get some use out of them instead of selling them for a loss.

On to the pics..

 This picture really sucks... This is the end result of being hella rushed, but it does show the side view from the front, just a little bit.

Handsome! Once the "newness" is removed from the sidewalls and you get some pics in good sunlight to show the finish on the spokes I think it will look spectacular. Might go with a larger spacer than 5mm though if you want the fronts to sit like the rears. I'd do 15-20 mm but the car looks awesome overall.

Well done! I still think that 20s 'look' too large on older M's like mine, but on the new body style, they seem to blend in perfectly without getting lost. The 20s accent the curve of the body side just above the wheel and draw your eyes - not becuase they look 'big' but because they look absolutely staggering! The wheel design is also brilliant - I reckon in direct sunlight, the spokes shine perfectly and create a great look when rolling. Those wheels and the lowered stance definitely play down the curvy, tame saloon-ish look of the new body style and add a powerful, sporty, muscular edge. Very impressed, indeed.

Thanks guys...

I took a few more pics this afternoon with my camera. I'll try to post them up tonight after the game. I try my best to keep the car tasteful but sporty at the same time.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and purchase the full Stillen exhaust next week.

The continentals have been doing really well in this cold weather, considering the fact that they are summer tires. I'm hoping they perform even better this summer.

Did you see my post to Red_Det, about those exhaust setups?

I think the G sedans are VERY similar underneath, maybe the exhaust will have to sit a little wider, definitely a little longer. Easy for a quality race car fab shop to do. Mounting points and hangers can be relocated as necessary, but I think the pipe routing is pretty close.

I'm satisfied with my Stillens, but had I not been I would definitely go the modified-G-sedan-catback route

Also, on YouTube I saw a "Fox" M56 exhaust, something to look into as well. Might fit M37s...

Car looks great! How do you like the ride quality with the coil overs? Is it a big difference from stock in regards to comfort? Thanks. Thinking of getting mine at the end of the month!

The comfort can be adjusted to your liking. These coil over offer adjustable dampening so you can make them as soft or hard as your like. I'm still trying to dial in the settings to something that I'm totally happy with. Right now I'm on the softer side of the settings, and the car feels lovely. But under hard acceleration the rear end is a little to bouncy.

Over all, I love the coil overs though.

thanks man... For now i'm good, as both the stock wheels and the Work both have decent tread left. I will keep you in mind, as I have put quite a bit of miles on the car as of late. Soo, I may be needing a set sooner than later.
