I have 6000K white headlights in my 2003 QX4.

Since the stock fog lights are not really 'white', I installed H3 LEDs. They are white, and 'look' better, BUT they don't put out enough usable light.

I've looked around, but cant find an answer for *which bulbs to install* for the white color AND bright useful fog lights.

Any practical experience please?

i cant help you for color.. for for plenty of light the phillips ultravisions are known good performers.

Just purchased the "Philips H3 CrystalVision Ultra Upgrade Bright White Headlight Bulb, 2 Pack".

They have good reviews and are described as 'white". Thanks again.

No problem. The Xtravisons give a bit more light.. but the Ultravisions are more white.

Years ago I thought about changing the fog light bulbs. I online chatted with one expert from a name brand but forgot who, could be Philips. He got me into the light bean wavelength that penetrate fog the best, etc. Too long time ago I don't remember details but decided not to change. I remember vaguely "yellowish" is of the correct wavelength for fog light application.

Disappointed fog light color...

Alas, the "Philips H3 CrystalVision Ultra Upgrade Bright White Headlight Bulbs" do not match my 6000K headlights.

They look yellowish compared to the 6000k headlights.

Anyone know of an H3 bulb to use for the fog lights that will be similar in color to the 6000K headlights, and give off decent usable light?

I did purchase a pair "H3 40-SMD 4014 LED Bulbs XENON 6000K White 12V Car Fog Light Lamps". They matched, and looked good, but put out no useful light.
