vicki wrote:White Castle from the joint is pretty much the same as frozen white castle. They use the same crap. The bun is already on there when they throw it on the skillet and they just basically heat it up, slap a little ketchup, mustard, and pickles on there and sell it for more than you'd pay for the frozen box. Their regular burgers are MEH.... their Jalapeno burgers are good, however, I think it was just a limited time thing.

The best fast-food burger I've ever tasted is Whataburger (TX - only chain). Their taquitos kick arse too. But for fries you guys gotta try Arby's or Checker's. Regional chains.

Vicki it is not the same.

Then tell me what the difference is. I have a discerning taste bud and I really don't see the difference. But then again, I hardly ever eat frozen and fast food.

IDK. Its just different. Jesda help me out on this. Maybe its that they put it on the grill, but still IDK. What I do know is that the fresh ones taste better.

Well in short, your microwave doesn't have a days worth of burger grease on it :D.

The bun is added late in the process, after they're flipped and I don't think there's any ketchup, this may be the diff between Krystals and Whitie's, not sure. I dated a girl in high school that worked at Krystal, can't ask her, but someone on here has to have worked at WC at some point?? So, admit it and answer these questions.

When I saw them make it several months ago, the bun was added on before the meat was even cooked through (which is why the bun is sometimes soggy). They only put one side down and it cooks through from that side because it's so thin. Then they put the bun on top of the uncooked side, to heat up, while the other side is cooking. And I think the WC I go to has ketchup on it but the mustard is questionable. Haven't eaten there in a while since the closest one is now about 2-3 hours away.

The ketchup/mustard thing is what makes the diff between Krystals & Whitie's and I could never remember which it was.

I still have never seen or tried WC but that's alright, cause I'm gonna go to In-n-Out and get myself a 4x4 animal style. Nothing better than a burger you damn near have to dislocate your jaw to fit in your mouth.

We have a White Castle/Churches Chicken restaraunt here, but still never been. I have been to Krystals and they are the shiz about 2 o'clock in the morning with a good buzz. But then they do give you the shizt and you might even get the shock.

LOL. They have many commercials. "White Castle. What you crave!" The newest one is these kids are playing a spin the bottle type game with 6 different WC sandwiches. Its called the sampler or something along those lines.

man oh man how I wish they had waffle house in PA. I'd be there everyday. First time at Waffle House was when I drove down to Alabama for this car meet. Their hashbrowns smothered and covered with a smidget of ketchup is to die for.

Oh, and they even have PORKCHOP SANDWICHES. Those internet nerds who've been around a while will get the funny reference.

Damn I'm a geek.

Damn you, damn you all.

Now I have to go get me some White Castle. I'm craving it.

Oh yeah and In and Out is the best fast food burger here. I had my first just a few short months ago. We need some here in the midwest.
