I haven't really been on the forums much but figured I would let you know I painted the calipers on my coupe white. I haven't seen anyone else with white calipers

I was a bit lazy and didn't really have the proper tools to completely take off the calipers so I just taped everything else and kept them in place. I put on about 5 coats of high heat white paint, and 5 coats of high heat clear coat. So far so good, came out real smooth and haven't really been gathering to much brake dust. But it has only been about 5 days. I also changed my front brake pads. So hear are some pics. let me know what you think and i will try and get some better pics soon.

Nice job, I was originally going to do mine white but just ended up going with red. Next time use a garbage bag to cover around the caliper, itll save you a lot of time.

just a quick question bro. I notice you painted it with the calipers installed. Did you take the brake pads when you painted it or you painted everything including the brake pad?

I took the pads off, I also took the rubber gromets and the little brackets that hold the pads on. It was quick and easy. I had to change my front brakes and figured I would paint the calipers while I had everything a part. The next day I painted my buddys calipers red, he has a 350z. If they get to dirty I will just re do them. It takes about a day to do. Mostly because of drying time. If I do it again I am going to order some white caliper instead of just high heat paint. The caliper paint is thicker and repels brake dust better.

It's not to bad, if you clean them regular. and by that I mean get a nylon tire scrub brush, and give them a quick scrub when you wash your car. And i don't recommend using the clear coat. The clear coat actually gives them this dirty yellow tint, I do recommend instead of taking everything off and tapeing everything up. Just wrap the rotor with a trash bag, let the caliper hang from the brake line, give it a decent sanding, and spray.
