white bulbs turned my dash blue...

so i put in some white leds from http://autolumination.com/194_marker.html the convex ones that spread light out... so anyway, while the gauge was out i was looking at the leds turn on/off without the clear plastic thing. those leds were really bright. then i put everything back together and wait for night time to check out how white they are. but then came night time and then i turned on the dash lights... then they were all blue, except for the right corner, i left that in there to compare/contrast. i believe that they turned blue bc on the back of all the gauges they are actually transparent blue... i guess the white wasnt bright enough.

i was hoping that it would turn out white numbers with red needles... since the numbers are blue, the red doesnt come out as well, i think ill get some red bulbs next. just wanted to post about my experiece.

agreed, other than the lack of the visibility for the needles, that blue does look really neat:)

i wonder if i put in red bulbs... would they make it purple... red+blue = purple... i hope not

i put red bulbs in my cluster.the cluster is now red.simple as pie.

i put white bulbs in my cluster.the cluster is now blue.not as simple as pie.

at least using white that is

it's probably that "hyper white" crap...

get some brighter bulbs too! that's gonna get u killed!

theyre leds... link is in the first post i think. they arent that dim. if you shrink the pic... itll be more bright.

Thats looks tight in blue, can you see it better in real life, like the gauges and needles though? B/c you cant really see too much through the pic

the blue is better in real life... the needles suck *** bc theyre red... they dont come through as much... i might just get some red leds next

LED and bulbs are different... Red LED's will only shine red.... so if there is a blue filter... it probly wont shine through. Red bulbs on the other hand will shine through but will mix with the blue filter and wil probly give off a green...

nothing, its just hard to see because my needles are sharpied red. why you ask ? because my initial plan was to have white numbers with red needles, which by the way look good in the day time. but the blue doesnt seem to mix well with the red. so therefore they are not as visible. but if you look closely, you can kinda of see the needles for the speedometer/tach. the fuel/temp is another story =(

mine kind of look like the RSX in person... except for the red needles =(. damn worthless $300 3.2MP digital camera...

it really does look brighter/better in person

i have an sr speedometer... the whole gauge was only $15 ! haha... so i put that in there a few months ago

currently saving up for a CA... hopefully gonna get hooked up from a friend to cartune

you finally realized it looked a bit odd to see 180kph ? or were the numbers so hard to see that you couldnt read the numbers
