i did a search and came up with similar but not the same problems. when i am at higher speeds (50+ mph) and i push down on the accel a slight bit (about 1/4 inch) the engine makes a noticeable whistling/whinning noise. if i press the pedal down farther (about half way) it stops, same for when i floor it. this is a 95' manual 240sx, and the noise occurs when no accessories are on such as a/c or heater. there are no engine mods done yet. only really notice it in 4th and 5th gear, but im sure it prolly occurs in 3rd as well. any help would be appreciated, thanks

this could be a number of thigs but typically it is from the throttle body. what would cause it is air passing through a tight area. try cleaning the throttle body with carb clean and a nylon brush then wipe it clean with a rag. see if this helps. If not start looking at vac lines to evap, egr.
