So, the car runs again....sorta

Now it has no power at wot and just makes a lot of noise. Feels like a honda.

basically the idle is weird like high, but it wants to die as I come to a stop.

Also, it kinda has a whistle at idle, and when I shut it off it kinda sounds like the car is sighing....

tried mafs plugs etc etc.

but, I think its the intake gasket. Any other ideas guys. its 5 am here and Ive been working on it all night. going to bed leave some ideas Please

thanks,Suicide

I would pull the MAF, wedge the throttle body open, take a PVC pipe plug, drill a hole in it and put a hose nipple in it, plug a compressor hose in and pump air in. Listen for a whistle and follow it to the source. I think you blew an intercooler pipe coupler hose.

I blew off one of the hoses under the intake manifold and it pretty much did what your describing.

Hmm, I have a similar problem, but when I blocked off the IM etc, and pumped some air in I could not find any leaks... kind of depressing I'm fresh out of ideas to fix. It does sound like a leak though, best of luck!

Yeah, sounds like a vacuum leak to me.

yeah, so Ive just been too lazy to make a pressure tester. Anyway I did. coupler (spelling) had a large gaping hole in it, hence the sigh sound. Did some other things too like replaced the hoses to the IACV PCV FPR etc etc. Runs like a beast now, but the t3/t4 is maxing out the maf, so Im gonna try the n60 tomorr...today to see what happens.

Otherwise runs great.

5 AM time for bed.
