whinning sound while turning

i recently had the shocks and struts replaced on my 96 i30t and now when i turn right there is a whinning sound from the passenger side. has anyone else had this problem before

Is your power steering fluid low?

not that i know of. i did check it

I agree with MoD. It sounds like either the power steering fluid is low, or the pump is going out.

Well, if it makes a "whining" sound, its the pump or fluid

if its clicking or similar, its mechanical and youll have to take off the rim and check it out

But usually, if its the pump, it whines in both directions, not just one

fluid is fine.. only one direction to the right.. its been too cold to check it but i probably will take it to the shop and have them look at it
