Hi,
Im in need of some serious help. My car is a 2011 sport model, 130k miles on the clock.about a week ago i noticed i dull sounding whine once under acceleration. By a few days ago this was accompanied by a juddering/vibraion when accelerating. Then yesterday whilst on my way to work, i experienced the whining sound and vibration followed by loss of power to the drive train. I turned car off, left it a few minutes and it will drive perfect, then a few miles later the same issue will happen. Im at a complete loss, i had the propeller shaft examined and its fine. Does this sound like a transmission issue. Fluid was changed by infiniti dealer 2 years ago. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

well the symptoms are similar to what i had, the car would drive normal, loss of power, and a whine when you try to accelerate. My transmission shredded its lower/reverse gears. and the transmission would just let go of gear eventually. shifting it between park and D/R wouldn't do anything and a restart would only fix it for a few min. id say check the fluid in the trans and see if you find material in it.

Hi, that's terrible, i feel for you! Well my service book states the main dealer changed my tranny oil at the end of 2019. I took the car to a tranny specialist last week, he flushed the system 4 times with Nissan matic s, he told me the oil he removed looked like it was 10 years old! So the dealer has been telling porkies! Car drives a lot better this week, but it still vibrates and judders when im accelerating from low speeds and after around 30 minutes of driving, it's weird

Take it to the dealer and ask them about these Technical Service Bulletins. I had mine done 2 or 3 weeks ago and it helped with the vibration and weird shifting/power issues.

oh yeah i don't trust the dealer. they also did my service a year before that happened, i had a new trans pan installed, they didn't even install the magnets into it. They trans shop that did my build said that the whine i heard is basically the filter on the valve body getting clogged and the unit starving for fluid. so yeah all in all f*** THE DEALER. my car has been a nightmare because of the dealers. A case file so big that i had a phone call with the VP of Infiniti NA.... Telling me he's sorry and that he has never seen a case file that big.

That's a shambles! What jokers! I've lost all faith in main dealers.
