Well, I guarantee someone has done a good ol' carbed 350, so the physicalities of the swap would be basically the same.

i've heard of LS1's being swapped. try searching for more info.

i know for a fact that Aries has a sprayed LT1 swapped into his s14. im sure the swap is not much different, and from what i hear, its like nothing you've ever driven before.

That's just ignorant, lol. An RB26DETT isn't objectively superior to an American V8, they're both good at different things.

I say LT5 or LS7, but I also know there's just no way......

I want a ZR-1 sooooo bad.....

EDIT:

On that note, ANYONE who currently has about $24k needs to buy this. I can't think of too many better uses for $24k than this car, especially considering the fact that it probably won't depreciate a lick: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

$24k for one of the greatest engineering triumphs in automotive history is a small price to pay. Buy it, drive it once in awhile, keep it secret....keep it safe.

I suppose that if I came from your part of PA and I was an import enthusiast, I'd probably be hatin' on the domestics too. I went to school in Pittsburgh and there was no shortage of mustang/camaro knuckleheads who wouldn't listen to reason.

But with that said, a ZR-1 would still pwnz j00.

Hate is a strong word, mostly used by ignorant people.

Try not to hate. Take a ride in a muscle car.. I'm sure you'll gain some respect when it blows your socks off and you just don't seem to understand why your import car can't compete without forced induction.

Ablsolutely.I mean, there's no reason at all the chevy small block tops nearly every educated list of "best engines" that's ever been assembled.

You only hate the small block because you know nothing about it. When an engine is over 50 years old, and STILL alive and kicking ***, there's obviously something exceptional about it. You don't see any engines from anyone else that are that old and still being used in such a wide range of applications do you?See the specs on the LS7 Hashiriya referred to. It is, IMO, the single greatest powerplant ever designed. Period. Not the 2JZ-GTE, not the RB26DETT...but the good ol, pushrod, single cam, OHV V8. 7000 rpms and power to burn over every millimeter of it. No turbos, no s/c, just pure mechanical prowess. Simply beautiful.

And I hate Chevy too. Modern chevy that is. In the day of muscle cars, GM was the king. Now they're just a cheap wanna-be Toyota (such aspirations! )

Anyway, yeah, I've heard of it done, and seen some pics. Probably need a new hood. Hell, I've seen old 426 Hemis in late model J-bodies. It can be done--the question is: can you afford it. I'd like to see it done by a NICOnaut with decent documentation (pics, at least a generalized step-by-step) so I can see how it works out.
