While i was replacing my timing chain.... i found out that i don't have a thermostat in my ka24e.... how is it that it is still running? i have been driving without it for a year with no problems

did you upgrade your radiator?...couse the stock one i believe is a single core..and most after market ones are duelcore...duel core will coolbetter..even without a thermostate to slow the coolant down in the system...just my opinion

ha ... nvm i just did some research.... looks like i won't be replacing my thermostat till winter comes

You should run a thermostat, always. Very simple install and fix.

Coolant will flow through your engine to fast. This means that the coolant will not absorb as much heat from the motor as it should.
