As Im driving and over 3,000 rpm's car well cut off as I try to accelerate nothing happens as the car is turned off but if i push the clutch in and let the idle drop it'll pick back up but cuts off around different rpm's as im in different gears, it dose not seem to do it in 1st or 2nd gear though.Any ideas greatly appreaciate

believe it or not i had the same problem twice the first time was when my heads up unit was broken it didnt show me how fast i was going but the rpms still worked so i guess cause the computer wouldnt know how fast i was accaully going it would cut me off i hated it especially on the free way car was still drivable just couldnt speed. all i did was change to a regular cluster and the problem went away. the second time was right after i did my clutch. i didnt notice but the wires on the speed senser started too brake off so i wasnt getting a speed reading on my cluster. i changed the senser and that was it. now im not saying thats your problem but if your cars not reading how fast your going that can be one reason. oh and that **** feels nasty when it cuts off.
