there are many decent brands, many different compounds of rubber. Falken azenis are the obvious choice for many people, but they do wear out very fast. What is you price ranges, and are you looking for maximum grip, or a combination of good wear and grip?

hit up http://www.tirerack.com. they have reviews, and tons of buyer feedback, as well as ratings on all aspects of the tires.

I used to run Cooper Zeons until I got my Toyo T1S's. The Zeons are a good tire with cool looking tread pattern. Good wet/dry weather grip for less than $100 a tire (with my size wheel though, 17x7).

I'm hearing good things about the new Yokohama H4/V4, AA traction, A temperature and a whopping 500 treadwear, and they're cheap, too. Like 65/tire. It's almost too good to be true, and I haven't had any personal experience with them.

245 is to big of a with in my opinion. I would go 235/40 in the rear and 215 or 225 40 in the front. Athough you wouldnt be able to rotate. It would be an awesome stance and good angle upfront.

oh and for the un knowing. 215/40 on a 9" wide tire is an easy install at ur local tire shop.

Ive had it done almost 6 times now. I hate flat spots in the front.

Marcos,

Don't make me slap you around with load indexes and optimal bead/rim width stuff. (Also, you gonna be at Petit this year?)

Stick with something between a 235-40 and a 255-40 all around, unless you're going to use tire options to change the handling balance of the car

this will do a few things:

-ensure propper load index-keep your OD close to stock-Keep the rim and section width(of the tire) within the correct ranges to keep the tires contact patch and sidewall correct during hard driving.

-Chet

It's easy watching, but it sucks for tire techs likem me. It's a pain in the butt installing tires that fit a 9" rim. I can only imagine the fun it would be to set the bead on a 215/40 on a 9" rim.

gotta use a cheetah

id suggest st115s, good wet and dry grip, good treadware, like 300? and traction ratings on tires are retarded. it measures 50-0 in a straight line stopping distance or somthing? i dont remember. its goofy.

so a 235/40 would be good all around?
