Which year started including USB or AUX in for iPods?

I'm looking at getting a used ex35. I didn't see any way to plug my iPhone into the 2008 I was looking at — no USB nor AUX in jack. I'd miss not being able to plug my iPhone in for streaming audio. Which year started offering this as standard and does it need to have NAV? Thx.

Not sure if all models support it, but my 2008 EX35 Journey does. Check for the proprietary jack in the center console as shown here.

My 2011 has the USB port in the center console. Im not 100% positive, but i believe that 2011 is the 1st year with the USB

Pretty sure they switch from the 30 pin plug to the USB in 2010. That year was when they added bluetooth audio streaming, so I am guessing they did the USB the same year.

Also...There is no aux for a 3.5 jack, but in the center console there are A/V jacks that you can use to plug your phone into. I believe they had this on all years.

Only thing in the center console of my 2011 is the USB Port. No Aux jacks at all

And a cigarette type 12v power outlet.

Maybe they got rid of the A/V jacks when they switched to USB then.

Wish they still had the AV jacks... thing that irks me the most TBH.
