I'm looking for a Y-pipe and I waited forever for Custom Enterprise's CA emissions y-pipe for the 99 max's, and I waited for nothing cuz they're out of biz now! I heard great things about their y-pipe, but now what? Which one should I go for now? Also, will I throw any codes with a new y-pipe cuz I'm sick of the 99's ecu telling me about my ineffiecient cat all the time (high-flow)!!! So I don't wanna go through with that again! Which ones are the best, with no bee-buzzing sound either?

If you simply need more "bungs" for O2 sensors, you can always have a shop weld one on for ya. Warpspeed and cattman make y-pipes that should work well.

I've had Warpspeed issues with the 2k2 Y-pipes. From what I understand their 4th-gen y-pipes are solid. BUT, since their customer support sux, I would probably steer away.

Cattman worth the extra dough? Warpspeed is selling aluminized for $175, but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I think stainless steel is the way to go anyway, but I'm just not sure! Cattman for $350, Warpspeed SS $275, aluminized $175...

Cattman or Stillen is the way to go. Here is why.

The bees in the can sound is caused by a poor quality flex section. So blackmax23 is absolutely correct...you do get what you pay for. In this case, Cattman spends $27 on their flex sections made in the USA. Other companies (Budget/Ebay) are spending $8-$10 on their flex sections that are most likely made in China or elsewhere. Now, I'm not bashing other companies just yet. I have no idea where Warpspeed gets their flex sections mainly because I couldn't get a hold of anyone who knew anything helpful. Also, Stillen is another viable option. They wouldn't or couldn't tell me how much they spend on their flex sections but they told me their parts were made in the USA, which means a better quality product (unless they are actual vehicles ) Stillen is actually $3 dollars cheaper by the way.

I did a lil research on some y-pipes and warpspeed claims that their flex section causes no "bees in a can" sound and is lined just like the cattman and stillen. I'm just a lil nervous to buy from warpspeed cuz I don't know much about them or their products. Their aluminized y-pipe is only $175 and I don't want to put much more money into my 99 cuz it's almost got 100k miles and I'm looking to get something else in the next year or so. But you get what you pay for and I don't want junk. Is there a real advantage to paying $100 more and get the ss one for $275 or the cattman for $350?

Well if you are not going to keep your car because it almost has 100k then buy something cheap and let the next owner worry about it. But if you are going to get something, then Warpspeed, Cattman, and Stillen are all viable options. People speak ill of Warpspeed because their support is absolutely atrocious. You might have a better chance of reaching someone at the DMV. But support aside, I have a Stillen y-pipe for my car with the Cattman b-pipe to complete my exhaust set-up.
