Which wire

Which wire is a good 12 volt switched source for wiring in a tow harness? I know it was mentioned here before but I cannot find the post with the search function.

You mentioned "switched source"...

Most trailer/light harnesses want a live source as in always on - direct to the battery.

The "live source" used in the 09 Mo and mentioned here before is the white wire, lower left just inside the back of the Mo - it has a female connector on th end. Just behind the center trim piece (the piece with the chrome and trap door for the hatch latch etc).

The white wire goes up to the fuse box under the hood and is protected by a 30 amp fuse. Those of us that utilized this wire added a 20amp fuse to the rear to protect the OEM harness.
