Which wire is it.

This weekend I installed another auxillary 12V plug in my car fo a portable navigation/DVD unit. I tied into the existing ciigarette light. Matbe this is a stupid question, but which wire on the lighter is positive, the green wire or the black. I makes a difference on a couple of the converters I plugged into it. Seam like I blew out my phone charger and I want to make sure I have the center contact on the plug positive.

The green wire is +12V dc and the Black wire is your Ground.
