Ok I'm looking at some new (used) wheels. I know you'll all say 'It's your car, do what you want yada yada...' But I'm seriously interested to know what you guys think. Don't worry, in the end I'll feel secure about the decision I make. So on the choices.- OOOOLD school Impul Silhouettes 17x8 + 17x8.5 +36et on both-or- Falken Hanabis 17x7.5 +32... Honestly I'm really leaning more towards the Impuls but they are quite a bit more expensive. If I bought the Falkens I'd be able to afford better tires. Thanks anyway oh yeah in case you aren't sure what the silhouettes look like, here ya go

I dunno man. I like the oldschool ones. They're very different in a good way. Reminds me of back to the future but more baller.

i like the impuls, they look awesome. the hanabis are good looking but they are not directional and face opposite directions on opposite sides of the car.

I voted falkens, I'm not old school enough to dig the others. And better tires FTW

as if its that big of a deal?

stock teardrops (like mine) are the same style, all the wheels are facing the same way, so on one side they seem backwards.

looks cool, imo.

The impuls kinda look like metal trash can lids, and how effective are they at cooling the brakes?

They are probably tough and heavy with all that extra aluminum, but I think airflow to the brakes is needed.

I like the Falkens better, but the Silhouettes are very unique and different, and if the car is slammed I think you can pull them off.

You will get way more looks with the silhouettes (which really doesn't matter). Other than that, the Falkens are only 7.5 width so they don't really appeal to me.

Can you look at both sides of the car at the same time? I really don't see how that matters.

I'm laffing at some of the responses in here. 'the impuls look like trash can lids.' and 'the impuls are disgusting.' AHAHAAA! ROFL. Well I know they aren't for everyone but I really like 'em sooooo... lol. Here's a little more info...

With the falken's I can get a staggered setup and do 17x9's in the back with 17x7.5's up front 32et up front, 20et in the rear. I was thinking about going with bronze but my car is dark gray so maybe the silver ones would look better??? I can get those for 590$ shipped, brand new, with an install kit.

The Impuls are gonna run me about 650 shipped with no center rings, no caps, no lug nuts. basically nothing but valve stems. they are obviously used but in good shape. just some minor curb rash. Obviously the impuls are gonna cut into my tire fund by the time they are ready to mount. With all that said, my mind is telling me to go with the Hanabis and my heart is saying the Silhouettes. Damn it

Yeah good question. How much of a roll/pull do you think I'll need to runs 9's all the way around? As of now I'm sitting gr2's and sportline springs. You think I'll have clearance issues? I'm a total newb to the wheel thing but my engine hasn't cost me any money recently (crosses fingers) so I thought I start doing some other stuff. And PLLLLLZ don't tell me I need coilovers... I'm not ready to do that yet.

Here's another chop with the hanabis. Meh. I like the way the wun-guns look but they are too narrow. 17x7. I'd like to run something a little wider so that I could run a 235 tire.

if youve got anything more than a near stock ka you should have gotten coilovers already

anyway, because your front camber will be less adjustable than needed, it might be close, but a small pull will clear that size with any camber
