Alright, I can't decide which wheels to get for my soon to be 240 Fastback. Both are 4 luggers.

The Wheels:

Work Efors

17x7.5+41 114.3 17x8.5+41 114.3

OR

Nismo (Don't know what they are...but they look pretty good)

16x7+38 114.3

These are both used, so keep that in mind. If you have any other suggestions let me know. They're both ~$500 for all four and $80 for shipping. So any in that price range. And the offsets, +41 (Works) and +38 (Nismo's) is that going to stick out pretty far?

I'd say neither. The offsets on the works suck, and the nismos are too skinny. But that's just me.

7" is perfect with for a 225/50-16 so no, the Nismo wheels aren't too skinny.

You really think so? I run a 205/55/16 on my 16x7s, and they still roll over when driven really hard. I have been wanting to bump up to 225/50s, but the sidwall would be a bit more than square, causing even more flex.

thoes are both pretty crappy sets of wheels but if i had to pic from just thoes 2, the works with some spacers.

OR

Volk Racing Evo IV17x7+45 17x8+45

Either that or I save up some more money and wait to buy some Work XD-9s .

You do realize that those are some really ****ty sizes as far as offset goes don't you? I mean sure, they are good wheels, but they won't fit that great.

he's right. if you're gonna have to run spacers you might as well just rollstock wheels.

pay more attention to the size and offset rather than the wheel face, wheel sizing should be your primary concern. search around this foruma bit and you'll get a good feel for what different sizing and offsets looklike on s13's.

and for the record, I'm not a fan of any of those wheels.

Yeah I know they aren't great offsets, but I was looking for a set that I wouldn't mind if they got scrapped up or anything like that. I was looking at Sport Max's but everybody rocks them, no one around here does, but I don't know. Thanks for all of your input, I'll probably just end uo getting some Sport Max's or some Gram Lights that I can get in a strong offset and a good size.

just so you know dude, theres a big difference between sportmax and gram lights.

in the construction and the weight. you should check out nismofly's koseiwheels. they're not that exciting to look at (sorry chris, heh) but they comein good sizes and they're cheap. they are basically a buddy club wheel thatis labeled kosei from what I understand.

i'd check out like craigslist or ebay and see what else you can come up with.there's plenty of decent wheels on the cheap, just gotta dig a little.

I'd go with those NISMO wheels just to stay away from running a staggered setup.

Thanks! Yeah I knew they were totally different wheels, but they are ones that are affordable and look good too . Those are nice wheels on Chris's FB, I'll have to look into them.

Just hold out man, wait until you find a good deal with decent pricing. Don't buy something that looks cool in a picture and is cheap but is going to fit like ****, weigh a ton, or worse break.

Micah only has a slight idea whats coming next summer though, hes going to flip when he sees what im getting

you cant get my wheels anymore from tire rack

all they are are rebadged buddy clubs, tire rack stopped selling them though

now youd have to import them for about 3 times what i payed for them

if i hadnt gotten these id probably be rocking team dynamics pro race 1.2's right now, you can check those out too

notice its the 1.2 not the 1, the 1 only comes in 15x7 and 17x7, the offsets specifically for a few different race classes, the 1.2 is the same wheel just comes in a ton of different sizes

expect to pay anywhere from 600 to 1000 for a set, depending on size

you may see them come up for sale used locally, like I do from time to time.a set of 16's like chris has, with tires, were offered to me for 400 bucks so just keep your eyes open and get the facts first.

Those Team Dynamics 1.2s are very nice. They come in great sizes and offsets too. I looked around on their site and I didn't see any prices or anything...so do you just email them or something like that? Because those are awesome wheels for sure .

actually like most companies they dont sell wheels through their site

however i do know that when skydragoness was looking to get them she went direct to team dynamics, theyre actually a british company...id say give them a call

especially since the dealer locator on their site goes right back to the site, doesnt list any actual dealers

Thought so, I did the dealer thing and it went back to the site. I'll have to ask her about it. Thanks again Chris!

if nizmo's were (17s)i would say no brainer i like bigger space between spokes showes of brake upgrade if you have one but (16s) have to much rubber in my opinion. just put a set (17s) spade rims on mine i love um go for the (17s) unless you plan on laying a lot ove rubber they can get expensive.

Waiting is no problem. First I'm going to get a new KA for it, then with the money I have left I plan on spending it on either wheels or suspension for the first mod.

Team Dynamics are awesome wheels, the Pro Race 1's and 2's are lightweight and decently priced. Not to mention practically no one has them. You can get offsets as low as +20 (i think). Like Nismo said, there's a wait since our bolt patterns and offsets are just not in demand (Miata bolt patterns x100 patterns are way more common). Anyhow, if i remember correctly the guy at TD quoted me $130 a wheel for the Pro Race 2's, maybe a little extra for the offset i wanted.

That's all dependent on the tire, from my experience I find Bridgestone's to have some of the hardest/stiffest sidewalls around. When I used to run RE950's (their a/s perf tire) I would autocross in them and not once did the sidewalls scrub. I do the 'chalk' test when i autocross, scrape a line of chalk on your sidewalls to determine if its rolling or not. I would come back to the pits and check the tires and the chalk would still be there!

That's awesome! I thought for sure they would be more than that. I'll email them one of these days and ask for a quote. Thanks for the help everyone! It's very appreciated.
