Hey guys. I'm a college sophomore and proud new owner of a black 91' s13. This thread is for you guys to post pics and opinions for wheels for my car. I don't have several grand to spend on high dollar wheels. What you you suggest?.......

Nothing unless you have suspension done already.

Run on stocks until you can afford something you REALLY want. You won't be as happy if you settle.

that looks prolly like 15 or 16 inch wheels with a low offset, just get coils and run on stock rims till u find the ones u like,

those wheels look to be a 15x7 0 ish offset. older mesh wheel SSR reverse mesh? Epsilon ? southern way? can't tell from that but they are pretty easy to find and usually for only a few hundred bucks.

This x2.

OP, that car you posted as an example of how you want your stance to look like was on coilovers for sure. so, don't waste any money thinking about strut/spring setups. Get coilovers first, then start thinking about wheels.

definately drop first, but if you dont want to "tuck" you dont need coils

especially if you are on a budget

that fitment is similar to mine/was

i say dont get coils. your car looks super clean and you said you dont want tucked tires anyway. id just go with a strut/spring combo and get some used rotas honestly. or just get some spacers for you teardrops. idk i like them

Not all coils tuck wheels, guys. You can still get a relatively comfy coilover like Enduratech (for example), so that you'll eliminate most of your wheel-gap without dropping too low for you tastes.

sure but you dont need them if your not wanting a huge drop

why spend a grand when you get can get spring/struts for less?

Because the pictures that show the stance he's looking for can't be achieved by springs/strut setups.

I just like that height. I like the xxr 962s even though they're heavy. Love the staggered look. I also like the Rota p45s. All my car buds hate on both cause they have money for new Volks (military pay for college) I'm new to suspension modding.

Just going back and looking at old threads.....a buddy of mine found me some 1 month old xxr 501 15x8 +15 and I put some Kumho 225/50's on them and got coilovers. I have like a .5" wheel gap now...still have inner fenders. Two years flies by lol.

My car is this height and I'm on spring/strut.

This however, you'll need coilovers to accomplish.

If your on a budget i say first get a good spring strut combo... im planning on getting the eibach sportline lowering springs and kyb gr2 struts soon... they lower your car good, but not too low that you have to tuck... What about the new xxr 526s! 17x9 all the way around... in cromium black... or get the 962s staggered 17x9 in the rear and 17x7 or 17x8 in the front... go with gold or silver on those! Or maybe the the 002 16x8 all the way around... FIRST lower it on some springs and struts... if you daily this car you may not want the agressive spring rathe that coilovers bring to the table, plus they are alot more expensive, and with eibach sportline lowering springs, thats pretty much the perfect lowering distance where you dont have to tuck... I would wait til around x mas time to buy wheels... they do good deals then... but lower your car first... Otherwise it will REALLY look like a monster truck, and too high!~

Did you guys not realize that the OP just brought back his old thread from 2 years ago? He's probably not looking for advice anymore, just memories lol.
