i'm trying to figure out how the coolant lines on the back of my rb20 run. i'm assuming the bigger lines are the heater hoses, but where do the little brass lines off the turbo hook up? also the one you see clamped shut on the heater hose. [IMG][/IMG]

thanks!

remove that yellow cap off of the top hard line going to the turbo and connect the rubber line comming off of the intake manifold to that.

Just as posted above, remove that yellow cap and plumb that line that your thumb was touching to it.

It is kind of odd that those lines are capped. Is the turbo stock? Just wondering if someone changed the turbo out to oil cooled only, or possibly decided to just use oil cooling on the stock turbo.

+1

You can either take the yellow caps off and reattach the water cooling lines to the turbo (assuming they are still there and connected to the turbo) or run the setup the way it is and figure out how it was plumbed up. I'm assuming nissan had water-cooling to add some reliability/longevity to the stock turbo setup??

most people dont let the cars idle down after driving so when you shut them down no oil gets to the center section to cool it down some, but when the car is shut down water still circulates for a little bit.

Hey Check for either a leaky 6th Fuel injector.Your either going to need new seal's and bushings or your going to need a new Intake manifold gasket.

I'm sure it'll be a lot easier to change it outside of the car. I can only imagine how much of a PITA it is to pull off and re-install that ITM.

Yeah looks more like the gasket.Your intake manifold might have some nasty ish in there too, so you should clean that bad boy out as well.

I know mine had pools of oil and caked on shyt in there. While you have it all apart clean out your AAC/IACV also.My friend's was stuck open because it was so dirty.
