Hello chaps,

After doing a flush of my coolant system, the pump started leaking out the weep hole... looks like rust and gunk buildup was stopping it from leaking previously (awesome).

It's a 93 Q45, I don't know which month. You can get pumps for 90-93 and then 93-96 q's.

so my question, to those knowledgeable about these matters, is there any major difference in these pumps, or is there any way for me to tell which pump I currently have (the only writing on it is Y13 stamped on the cover)?

If it's just a bolt hole that is a mm or 2 off that's fine I can file that out. but if it doesn't fit at all, well then I'll have a problem.

Example 90-93 pump: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Nissan-2 ... 500wt_1180
Example 93-96 pump: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BRAND-NEW-WA ... 007wt_1139

I've searched this forum and googled but haven't brought up anything too useful.

thanks in advance!

I've contacted Nissan here in Australia to find out more about the car through the VIN.
apparently it was manufacturered in 1989. :|
Looks like I'll get the earlier model water pump.

snout lengths are different. the early pump will bolt to a later block and vice-versa, but when you go to install belts/pulleys things won't line up.

Do you know which one has the longer snout?

I found a q45 pump for it but the snout is too long. Still not sure which type I should be ordering, later or earlier model. :|
