Well I've been shopping for fuel pumps for my SR swap and I keep getting two different part #'s for the Walbro unit, GSS-341 and GSS-342. Which of these is the correct part that I'm needing? Or are they interchangable? Any input would be most appreciated.

The GSS-341 should work because that's what I'm using. It's "Walbro" not "Walboro" btw

That is not true. The Walbro GSS341 and GSS342 are both 255 lph high-pressure models. The only difference is the way the inlets and outlets are oriented:

Well I don't know about those two models, but you need to get the right Walbro for your car. S13 and S14 pumps are identical except for the fuel pickup sock and rubber grommet the sock sits on. The S14 sock is longer and oriented at a different angle. I had the S13 sock on my S14 and was having fuel starvation problems below a quarter tank of gas.

So which of the two would work with an S14? Enjuku says the GSS-341 and Phase2 says the GSS-342...so confusing...

I took a look on a few webpages and found the applications

Ok, so it looks like the GSS-342 is the way to go

Go with the Denso or the Tomei a little bit more but I think its worth it.

I've heard this statement before on another thread, but never actually found the reasoning behind it. Is there something lacking in the Walbro unit that these two pumps have?

Well, the Tomei kit is "true bolt-on". You pull out your entire oem fuel pump assembly and drop in the tomei assembly---done.

If you're installing a Walbro, it's really just a matter of swapping fuel pumps while retaining the oem fuel pump assembly. The only complaint I had with the Walbro installation is that it was annoying "nudging" the pump into the assembly. You'll see what I mean when you do the install.
