Which vehicles have reflective tint and can you add more tint?

My 99 QX4 has the reflective tint which I think looks awesome. The only think I don't like is that it is not dark enough. I would like to add another layer inside to make it harder to see through.

Additionally, I would like to tint the front windows. In Idaho, there are laws about how dark the windows can be, but they seem to not care. They do, however, seem to care about reflective tint on the front, so I am not sure about that. Has anyone done a tint on the front with refelctive on the back? I think a mediem tint would look OK.

Finally, which vehicles had the reflective tint? I thought it was simply earlier QX4's, but I have seen some Pathys with it and some QX4's without.

I've looked into this issue myself and the guys at the shop told me that the reflective tint that comes stock is ON the glass and is not removable. They DID say that they are able to put a darker layer under it...

and as far as your front windows go...you could go with like a lighter shade and it'll still look dark cause of your tint in the rear. i dont know if that made any sense. haha....let me know how it goes.

Yup bustarye is correct, the factory stuff is actually colored glass and not removeable tint bmlawless, i suggest you go for it. I've tinted my windows and love it. And ANY front tint is completely illegal in CA, I do it anyways. I got a ticket once... I took the tint off, got it signed off by the 5-0, and got even darker tint slapped right back on the next day!!

Dont forget that the front will not match the back if you just do the same tint all the way around. I personally did a medium tint on all the back windows, and limo tint on the fronts, it almost matches. But i dont have the mirror tint.

My buddy from Arizona even has his windshield tinted in his fullsize Chevy truck. I love it - so saucy!!

For the record, I want to keep the reflective tint. The rear windows should get more reflective when tinted. For grins I Photoshopped a pic with more reflective rear windows and darker fronts.
