Anyone have any experience with the Nismo Power Brace or Sustec Underbrace? They look about the same..is the Nismo one worth $50 extra?

dude the things solid in the rear. you don't need em, although there's that one by obx that looks like the DC sports ones you see on the hondas all the time, but that doesn't do jack.

btw don't bother looking at the cusco one that bolts up into the tension rod bolt area. it's like 80 bucks but doesn't do jack but add that little bit of blue in there. You're alot better off with the Nismo unit if you're looking for something to brace the bottom

Sustec, will do wonders for your car and they are not even that much expensive. Sustec under brace really stiffen up your bottom, you will notice huge difference, especially if you have spring or coilovers installed. And NISMO is an OVER PRICED product. PERIOD!

the s13's rear is solid too don't even worry bout the rear subframe. If you've some how managed to bend your rear subframe chances are the rear subframe is the least of your worries lol.

yeah nismo stuff is overpriced but you can find the brace on ebay pretty cheap.

these things dont really help till you got some sways in there. if you put sways and then the braces you'll feel the difference. if you do it the other way around, you dont really notice it.

Yeah, you can still use the power brace..you just cant use the sustec or cusco tension braces with the nismo power brace because they take up the same spot.

I have the tanabe underbrace, I like it.-chet

They take up the same spot..are they the same in function? My understand is that the Nismo replaces the tension rod bracket?

The nismo brace replaces the entire OE system with the same style OE brackets welded together by a solid bar. Its all one piece and is stylish (if you are under the car, that is).

I think the Nismo system is just more solid than others because of the one piece fit.

*ahem* sorry, no pics, camera is down...
