The typical parts store part # for my truck's u-joint isn't correct. My truck is 1990 2.4, 5-speed, extended cab. The u-joint that the part store says fits, is way too big, and there isn't any other part # available. I know that someone else has had to experienced this same problem. If you know the correct part # , please let me know, thanks. :gotme

There's a good chance you're gonna need a Neapco 1-0430 to fit your Hardbody - is yours the one with the smaller, staked-in joints?

i have a 91 hb ext cab with quiet a few mods done to it. one day while driving home about half a mile from my house my U joint gave out on the truck. i pushed it home and went to autozone and got another U joint and thought id give it a shot and change it out. i sat down looked at how to's on youtube and what not, couldnt get the stock u joint out. ended up taking to to a performance shop for them to take a look at it. they said its a non serviceable u joint. either 2 choices get a new/used one or take it to a specialist and have them customize it to be serviceable. i ended up paying 150 to get it cut and customized

First off, let me say I really appreciate your reply. After reading your reply this morning, before work, I decided to go get a 1-0430 and try it. I showed the part # you gave me to the clerk at Advance, and he determined that it was an '89 joint, so I figured that I might be on to something with the 0430 joint. The cap of the 1-0430 just fell through the holes in the yoke and driveshaft, but the 0029 joint that the computer called for, was far too big. I went behind the counter to look for myself, and found one similar to the one that came out of the truck, which was a 0105 Advance PDQ joint. I did have to message the holes a little to make it fit, with a stone bit and die grinder, but it did work. Maybe as much as .005 . It is in the truck and is tight as it is supposed to be. So I guess I will always have one different joint in the truck.
I would still love to know what the correct part # for the joints that are in the truck though. Once again, I do really appreciate the help. :dblthumb:

What 's up gentlemen, I'm having a similar issue to that of "StrokerMaverick". I'm experiencing a bit of a problem locating the correct size U-Joints for my 1990 Nissan D-21 Hard Body pick up. I seemed to have come up empty handed, until I stumbled on this forum. I'm going to purchase the 0105 Advance PDQ joint, and give it a try. But did anyone out there find the correct size U-Joint for this time Nissan Truck. I'm not going to blow $700. to $850. on a complete driveshaft. Someone please help

What's up again Gentlemen. I was able to find those U-Joints for that 1990 Nissan D-21 Hardbody Pick up on line at Rockforddriveline.com click onto "See Listing for staked U-Joints"[/i] The part Number is 430-12 for that Nissan. it covers the years 1990 - 1994. Whoever came up with the idea that these staked in U-Joints were NOT SERVICEABLE !!! probably was not thinking about the "After Market industry" Whoever said they couldn't be removed was probably not being Truthful either. :yesnod I removed my staked in U-joints using a " Harbor Freight" 3 in 1 Service Kit and an air impact wrench or you can use a 23 inch breaker bar with a 1/2 inch drive. Happy Hunting Gentlemen. :wavey:
