Gt2871R .64 A/R will get you about 300+ whp on 15psi, depending on your tune. My turbo will hit full boost at around 3500-3700 rpm

I would skip the 2871r and move right up to 3071r. You get way more power potential at the same rpm and you will have a very nice and torquey power band. The 2871 is nice but your car would be monster with the 3071. You could have a mild 300hp tune then turn the boost up and still have a very conservative 400hp tune. 3071 FTW. Also get the twin scroll manifold with it and it will spool even faster. And price wise they are in the same ballpark if you buy it BNIB.

Do a cheap T3/T4 50 Trim if you want 300whp. Dont waste the money on an expensive turbo if your not looking for much.

I agree, the 50 trim will easily make 300 and plenty more. Trust me, the super t70 is trash. Especially if you are talking about the ebay version. A friend of mine bought one and the wheel is no where near 70mm and his turbo had a huge ex. housing. Stick w/ something that is proven.

My s14 sr20det put down around 250 horses at 8 lbs on a stock gt2871r and a good 350 horses at 17 lbs. It is good to 19lbs but I am running a really conservative tune.

If all you want is 300whp at 18-20psi, just use the S15 turbo.

Like what has been said. All in what you want to have. You can have a gt2871r with a reliable 350 whp and I typically get 25 mpg or better depending on how much I lay on it.

A GT28r or rs will get you around 300 whp but it is working pretty hard

A GT2871R will get you around 350 and is not really sweating yet can get a little more if you want to risk it

A GT3071 can get you to 400 whp+ but it is risky without a complete built motor and the Gt30 scares the crap out of me -- if it spikes then BOOM out with the engine.

it is all about the tune. I am running an Apexi Power FC and love it -- it is like it was meant to run at my power level from the factory. Of course I am a fanboy but if you are going to do it you might as well save the money and do it right or have to redo it later. Good luck with you power goals
