which transmission for sr20det swap?

okay i have a 1995 240sx and i have a s13 sr20det motor that im about to put in. im planning on doing an auto to manual conversion for the transmission. i wanted to know which 5 speed transmissions from 240s can i use?

Why don't you just get the SR's transmission? Its capable of withstanding quiet a bit.

ka trannys are more common and i havent seen a sr transmission around where i live

Like they said, the SR transmission is fine for the swap. It's usually included with the engine anyway..

Yup. Buy a front clip so you get everything needed for the swap. Even if you wanted to use the KA trans, you need the SR bellhousing anyways. And if you can find a SR Bellhousing, then you will most likely find the transmission to go with it. haha.
