KA's are relatively close in the difficulty of turbo and intercooler install. E's are more easy because they have only one cam, less tuning capability, but easier none the less. I have a DE, it's just a matter of more timing to do. It's really up to you.

having one cams has nothing to do with putting a turbo on. install one cam could be a little easier than installing two but thats about it. the DE has more aftermarket as of right now making it slightly "easier" to turbo.

personally im big on putting a turbo on what you already have

I believe the SOHC motor does not have oil squirters, while the DOHC does. This will turn up the whole reliability issue. It is more practical to turbo the DOHC becasue it can handle the added stress better, than the SOHC.

you'll probably get more power from the DOHC anywayz, cause there's more intake & exhaust flow compared to a SOHC.

apparently glacier985 still hasn't completed his sohc to dohc swap and after reading it many times it became apparent that its pretty damn hard.

Well i was told that a donc head off a 98 frontier was the easiest way to go especially if i could get the intake as well ..............But i duno I have done a couple of head jobs on hardbody's and they got more simpler each time

So do you want turbo, or do you want to swap your head to dohc?..remember that the head swap raises your compression ratio to over 11:1, which is incompatible with boost. ...or you can have both with low compression pistons.

Thats the idea get the DOHC advantages whike lowering the compression for a turbo, Thats my dream anyways
