Guys...I need your help. I have 21K on the Potenza RE050 and the outside thread on ALL 4 is down to 1/32". Wierd Uh? Yup all 4 exactly the same wear. The middle and oinside thread looks good (in comparison).

I can feel the lose of traction and will need new tires. But before I drop some $, I wonder if there is a problem with the alignment or ?

Thinking of either Falken 452's or Hangkok Ventus V12. Yes, I know they are cheap...but thats whats in the wallet now.

Thanks in advance for any help.

dont knock the hankook v12's ive had a set on my 06 mt coupe for about 1000 miles now and just love them. they are really quiet, and i love the traction ive got from them. and like you said they are cheaper than most, but cheap in price doesnt make them cheap in quality.

Consumer reports rates the Falken 452's slightly higher than the Hankook Ventus V12. However, it also ranks the Kumho Ecsta SPT higher than both of those and estimates that they are cheaper. THese all were in the Ultra High Performance Summer category.

And, if it were me and I was buying these expensive tires, I would def. get an alignment since you have uneven wear. I might look at dropping down just a bit in the performance to get a little better tread life tire and save some $$$, but again that's just me. I don't push my cars to their limits or track them, so don't need the same performance tire that you might.

Oh, I normally shop around comparing prices/tires and take my lowest to my local Nissan dealer and get them to beat the price and throw in an alignment for 1/2 price cause I'm cheap!!! Good luck!!

Take a look at the Bridgestone RE760 Sport,I will be getting them for my G37Sthey are Max Performance replacing OEM Ultra Performance Bridgestone tires.Difference is in price cheaper and rated #1 in their category for 19" tires for the G37s by tire rack but big difference tread wear!

Not sure if the G35 fits in the same category when it comes to these tires but worth a look.

Thanks all for your insight. I have done some research on Bridgestone,Michelin, Kumto, Yokahamo, Nitto, Hankook, and Falken. And weighing price, performance, tread wear, and noise.

I agree I do not track, but I love pushing her thru the twisties when I can be safe. But most of the time it is me and the 405 frwy and the 19's are a bit rough.

On this change I am going with the Hankook V12 K110's. I am hopeing they will have a quieter ride without to much loss in perfromance. On the next round I am seriuosly considering changing to custom 18" wheels and getting same size on all corners.

Thack you all for your help.

Actually not so WEIRD. I drive the corners hard.

I can feel the lose of traction and will need new tires. But before I drop some $, I wonder if there is a problem with the alignment or ?

JUST GOT THE V12's put on today and they feel sweet! $750 OTD. Not bad.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm running the Hankook Ventus V12's right now and they are fine. The treadwear rating is much higher as well so if you don't feel like buying tires all the time that's what I would suggest. My winter tires are Blizzak's which are great in the winter.

Hankook did have a $50 off promo going on when you bought a set of 4. Not sure if it still is.
