Well I notice the reason why my 90 S13 with a SR20DET Red Top can't idie is because my Throttle cable is too short! So to all the people that has a S13 With a SR20DET please tell me which Throttle Cable should I use?

Do I need a SR or KA24DE or KA24E. I think the one in my car right now is the Org KA24E!!

Thanks!

Switch to the cable from a 91+. It is much longer and easier to work with. Not to mention the bonus of not running the throttle cable over top the valve cover.

Mine didn't work and it was from a 91, used my friends SOHC one and it worked fine just goes over the valve cover a little like you said. I think you could modify the line from the 91+ a little and it should be fine, I was just lazy

Ok here is my ThingRight now it is running on top of the Valve Cover

The problem that I have is that the car does not Idal right but If I move the Throttle Cable alittle over the top of the Valve cover (Because it is not long enought to go around the Cover) it will idel alot better and stay good until I move it like driveing it/push the Gas pedal!

But here is another funny part is that, it seem to run alot better when I have drive it for a mile or 2!

I don't is this True or Not but I have hear from people saying that maybe a G20 or older SE-R Throttle Cable Holder will fix it!

Per this thread:

It says it does. I have a 92 240SX. I have the SR20DET sitting at my local terminal right now. I'll find out next weekend if a 92 cable will fit and still have the same routing.

Also if you dont get the SR20DE bracket, my understanding is that you can bend the existing SR20DET bracket to get it to work.
