I used a KA one and just shaved off some of the plug and sensor, works great. However, get the late model Z32 one. direct swap is easier.

ok well the 98 ka temp sensor worked great connected right up but for my seconded question how accurate is the sensor for the cluster ? mine does'nt seem like its working right i mean it could be but im not expert it could be working just fine but i had my rb out drving around and it never made it past the 3rd bar on the cluster seems worng to me and its the right amount of volts could the sensor be bad i guess?

You have the later rb20.. 96 300zx sensor.. it's probably been said above

Advance Auto Parts:

GP SorensonSensor38-5154 A7A

Hopefully that helps.

As for the stock cluster temp sender.. It's either cold, warm or overheating, it's not a progressive temp switch. You can get one for a 3.5 chrysler from a junkyard as long as you get the pigtail to convert it to a progressive type sensor.

while the progressive bit is cool remember that the cluster is calibrated for a certian type of sender...and may not respond well to the chrystler one.
