Im trying to decide on some sway bars for my S13. What would you guys get? Im torn between the Whiteline and the Tanabe Sustec. I included the Largus and the Cusco for you ballers, but seriously, which ones and how come? If i left any out post em up as well as links where to buy.

Non-adjustable aftermarket swaybars are pretty pointless. Adjustability is the key to a tuning your suspension to fit your needs/goals.

How are they adjustable? I mean, what part? The endlinks? SPL sells the adjustable end links seperately (and are currently backordered), so i dont really see/understand what part of a bar would be adjustable.

That is true, i forgot to look and see which bars come with the new endlinks. And really, that is about 90% of why i am wanting new sway bars, my driver side endlink is toast.

Post up a link where i can research/price/possibly buy them. I know nada.

There is also Speed Tech (or st), not to be confused with Suspension Techniques (ST). st are the christmas green ones, and ST are the silver ones.

look at the pics, see there are different holes to mount the endlink

This is a good thread. I did some research and it looked like Whiteline was the best. Good to confirm that. This will be my next upgrade...

Something else, what about hollow bars vs solid steel bars? The Largus are hollow, and Whiteline are solid. I read that hollow bars only give up 5% of their stiffness over solid bars at a reduction of like 50% in weight. Now im not that concearned about weight, more about overall value and performance.

Really tho, so far it looks like Whiteline: large diameter (especially in rear), new endlinks, adjustable.

Does ANYONE have any comments about others? What about those progress bars? Any information on those?

thats why nismofly suggested progress sways. theyre the same size of whitelines and adjustable, but are hollow. theyre about $45 more for each bar and can be found at sportcompactonly.com

Ok, well http://www.sportcompactonly.com is down. It gives runtime errors, and a google search came up with the same site that doesnt work. Bummer, really wanted to see these bars. So do they come with new endlinks?

largus for the win... largest ones no pun intended.

whiteline endlinks suck... they are worse than stock so go with the aftermarket solid ones from SPL if you're sticking with the whitelines..

Ok, why do you say the Whiteline endlinks suck? They look alright by me, do you have any experience with them? They have poly bushings, all the other sway bars dont even come with new endlinks. And yes, SPL's heim joint endlinks are backordered, let alone they are $55 more per bar. So how are they worse than stock? Seriously, i am about to order the Whitelines, but i want as much information as i can get. Thanks!

well if you're going to get the whitelines, get the SPL endlinks... because the whitelines endlink design is worse than the stock ones. That's all there is to it. It's just that. Then they'll be fine... they are just poorly designed.

The selection of roll stiffness depends upon the tires one is using and the temperatures of the road surface.

+- 10% ~~= +- 15-20 pounds per inch at the tire road interface can be significant.

I absolutely love my Whitelines... Only gripe with them is the endlink design, but that can be fixed... Awesome bars and some of the only that are adjustable..

white lines for sure...I heard they provide just the right amount of stiffness, plus they're adjustable. To reduce Oversteer (Stiffer front/ Softer Rear) To reduce Understeer (Softer Front/Stiffer Rear)

Does anyone know anybody who has actually bought a set of Largus Sway Bars? They seem to be like a big budget movie with lots of hype and I'm just wondering if they really live up to it. Don't get me wrong because I'm looking for a set of sway bars and I would like to have a set of Largus but not if I can get a set of Whitelines or Tanabe for comparable performance and much lower price.

Not too many people actually have them. What we do know is that they are quality, adjustable, and stiffer than all other bars on the market. That is pretty much all you need to know to make a decision.

The Largus Sway bar doesnt clear the greddy oil pan on S13's......so says several sites that sell it. I myself have a greddy oil pan and after reading this thread i might go with progress bars w/SPL endlinks. Cuz my endlinks are crapped out.

Would the SPLs stock give the car a harder feel than the urethane ones? for example using pillow ball tension rods over the stock type.

Well anything that changes handling is gonna change ride qualty in some way. It's not gonna be much though. Hell, tension rods don't even affect ride quality much.
