Won't this setup eventually blow the GR-2s? GR-2s are not meant to be run with a drop.94_240sx wrote:- GR-2 + Tein S-Tech
AZHitman ran GR-2 and S-Tech setup before with no problem. 'Harsh' depends on individual. When I first drove 8kg/6kg coilovers. I was so surprised to see how comfortable they were. Trust me. I used to enjoy soft stock setup before and was worried a lot when I moved on to coilovers. I had no problem giving up comfort for better handling. I would say find other 240s with different setup and try them out. Attending 240 meet is one of good ideas. Take your time and do search...ishkabibble wrote:

I'm planning on AGX + S-Tech. I like progressives, actually. Linear with a higher than stock spring rate makes for a harsh ride. He specifically said he wanted to be able to handle bumps.
Yeah, but KYB themselves advise against running that setup long-term. Also, KYB advises cranking up the settings on AGXs when you are running S-Techs... the GR-2s are equivalent to the second lowest settings on the AGXs94_240sx wrote:AZHitman ran GR-2 and S-Tech setup before with no problem.
And location. I'd imagine the southern states have slightly better roads than Filthydephia94_240sx wrote:'Harsh' depends on individual.
You are right, but I've seen many people running S-Techs with GR-2s with no problem. AGX goes well with S-Tech, RSR, GF210 and Prokit. Drop with Sportline is more than others and it's soft, so many people are against it. It's really hard to match spring rate and dampening with different aftermarket springs and struts. That's why coilovers are good, but most coilovers ride harsh compare to strut/spring combo. I don't think I've seen blown GR-2s with S-Tech springs, but I've seen some blown struts with Sportlines since Sportlines are soft and give more drop. Well, I'd say search hard before you spend money.ishkabibble wrote:Yeah, but KYB themselves advise against running that setup long-term. That's it. RSR is linear and Prokit is progressive as far as I know. AGX is cheaper I guess, so Prokit and AGX should be Alastaplat's best bet then.homeslicej2 wrote:I'd go w/RSR or Prokit springs and either Tokicos or AGX's.
I fixed it.. try again.topless94 wrote:

Sounds good and the Prokit is only about 1.25" drop too.94_240sx wrote:
