LSD? Do you have LSD? Real clutch, 1.5 or 2 way LSD? Get that first, then bucket seat, then whatever coilovers you want.

When it does come to getting your coilovers, try out some setups on other people's cars before you decide, I can tell you whatever you want to hear, I've had apex'i WS, everyone said they are too soft, I like em, I have used JIC non adjustables right now, they're softer than everyone of my friends, but I like them, Everyone and their mom likes tein HEs but maybe you don't, you have to try out some setups before deciding, or you put a lot of trust into what other people say.

having said that, there is the tried and true, HEs, SPL KTS, both for reasonable prices. Then there are HKS hipermax, tanabe DD which half of PG swears by, JIC flt a2 which most like but hate jic customer service, Tein RA and new superdrifts and other race spec stuff, all very stiff and all very expensive. Then there are the questionables for super low prices, like the D2 or whatever that you either hate or love since its either a super sucess or ultimate failure, and the nex whatever costing 600ish, but these brands aren't super reliable, and that is reflected in the price.

My new fling of the month coilover is the D-Drug setup currently on group buy on zilvia, super super short stroke with 40 way adj. and external resivour, very tempting and probably my next coilover when i get another daily driver and can pretty much stiffen my car up like viagra. apparently the highest setting is a 2 finger gap from the fender i will wait for the verdict on these before i get them, but ive heard nothing but good so far from some guys in the biz that are importing these. apparently used by chuny-bai on his own personal drift car.

seriously, someone sticky either this one, or one of the really good old ones in the archives so no one has to answer this type of question again, otherwise its going to be SEARCH THIS, SEARCH THAT i dont want flaming noobies ALL the time, just sometimes, this isn't one of those times

edit: OMG, im so dumb, he asked about general suspension stuff, not just coilovers

continuing on then, first i would freshen up the small stuff, like getting new bushings is important, and tie rods. This is assuming you've already done all other maintenance like brake pads, fluid, ps fluid, and other important maintenance.

If you want to go pretty hard core, bushings arent necessary as you can get solid suspension that is all adjustable, but i wouldnt recommend any of it except ruca and t/c rods unless you are willing to pay a race shop to align your car since most average shops dont know how to play with the super nice stuff, 100+ bux a pop each alignment, 200+ at race shops, and after most events, my alignment is gone. Honestly I do my own alignments, but thats not for everyone, and I cant say that mine are really spot on, but it tracks straight.

subframe bushings are nice, keep your rear end planted pretty good and keep wheel hop and clunks away

sway bars aren't necessary, but i run softer coilovers so they would be nice to keep the roll away without giving me a super hard ride.

There isn't too much more to the 240 suspension, you just have to decide what the budget is, what you absolutely need and what your goals are, daily driving? Can you handle a super hard ride? or do you want a civil car that will do some stuff on the track once every 6 months? Track only? It all depends on these questions.

here is a good tool to find out what you want to adjust with your setting, and eventually what parts you need to adjust those settings.
