I'd have to listen to them back to back, but the old adage does hold a lot of weight. "There's no replacement for displacement". Meaning two subs are better than one.
Neglecting SPL's, more cone area means the cones don't have to move as far to create the same amount of sound, and the farther a cone moves on a speaker, the more distortion it also produces. Simply put, two like subs play cleaner than one of the same.
To answer your question, I'm not a fan of either subs you mention. I also must mention how good multiples of crappy speakers can sound. Alone, they sound like crap, but when you get a lot together they can really sound good due to the decreased amount of distortion they produce.
Maybe stick with the dual Kenwoods?
Hey, do those kenwoods list their TSP's?
