Well after I get my swap completed I'm gonna buy some subframe bushings as they are relatively inexpensive.

Megan has them for 90$ - made of aluminumPeak performance has them for 90$ - made of polyBoth on enjuku

I see a lot of people run the polys. My 240 will mostly be a weekender/track car Should I get the aluminum ones? Anyone ever ride on either of these?

Bump.

This will be my next project. I already decited on the solid aluminum so I can do it and never have to worry about it again. Does brand really madder?

Megan is $90 and SPL is $129

The megans are just "collars" while the spls are the entire bushing. In practice there might not be much difference but the spls just look sturdier to me. Fyi, stance just recently started selling a set that looks like the spl bushings.

If I do decide to get the solids I will def look into the spls. I just looked them up and they do look much sturdier then the collars megan sells. I will also look at the ones stance is selling

What do you guys think about solid engine mounts I was debating on those too. I will be needing to get some soon as I'm going to be ready to do my swap soon and theres no way I'm using the stock 185k mile mounts

It'll be loud for street driving, those mounts are practically the same as solid aluminum chunks. I had the slightly more forgiving ProjectNissan mounts, those were loud for me. So now I'm rocking urethane filled stock mounts - a step up from Nismo

I was actually looking at your thread before I passed out on my keyboard, lol. How are those working as far as performance over the aluminum hai1206vn? and how would you rate the sound in the cabin over the solid ones?

The stance ones are cool, nice find. But at $150 on their site, that's pretty expensive. I actually wanted to go with the NIP over all of them but production was seized. I'm gonna post in your for sale thread.

Edit: Found the stance bushings for $139 on FRsport if anyone is interested.

I never had the aluminum ones on my car. Bought aluminum first, then I found the MMR plastic ones and decided to use those - i heard they're a bit softer than aluminum. In fact I think they are equally hard, because I was able to just torque the subframe nuts straight onto the plastic bushings without any steel inner sleeve (remember stock rubber ones have an inner steel core), just like the aluminum.

There's a bit of clunks and whines, but I can't tell for sure it's due to the bushings, or my pinion+ring gear backlash. I got a new diff and am having it checked at a transmission shop, so when it's on I can tell you some more

I guess it doesn't matter if you get alum or plastic, they both remove all the subframe play. All the alum ones are pretty much the same. Heck, any company can easily measure dimensions off another product and CNC their version.

Brand really doesn't matter with subframe bushings... Theres no difference besides color for the aluminum bushings. Go with the cheapest ones and call it a day.

SPLparts.com sells collars as well as bushings.

The busings are a lot more effective.

They won't decrease ride quality. people who say they do don't know what they are talking about.

I rather have my suspension WORK instead of sloshing around like floppy vagina.

I just bought them, so we'll see how they are, again, you really cant argue with $65. not to mention when your subframe is attacking your chassis every stop light or gear shift .yeah, its that bad.

I just installed CS alum collar. Only thing I notice is a random clunking noise when up shifting from 1-2 2-3 at low rpm. Under 2.5k rpm. Is this normal? Or do I need to properly torque it? I justs tighten it with an air gun. Nothing crazy just a couple of tap on the trigger.
