Which manifold would you get? I hear megan is good and also bad so which would you purchase for an S14 SR.Megan racing-http://phase2motorsports.store....htmlSilk road-http://phase2motorsports.store....htmlPeak Performance-http://phase2motorsports.store....html

The Peak Performance seems to be my favorite, I dont rly wanna pay 600 for a manifold, I cant get JIC or HKS, there like 800, too much. What do you think?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, this might be more in SR section.

if you wanna save money Id go with the Megen racing manifold. The Tomei manifold looks the beefiest out of all of them..( best quality??)

but id go with the Silk Road.. i like this one the best...good price and looks good

i would scratch the Megen and Peak performance(unless your trying to save money)

Thats my imput

I have a megan manifold so far so good. I don't think its worth spending that kind of cash on a manifold unless its top mount T3.

i'm going the tomei route. iirc, i head you have to modify the megan to make it fit right.

574, did you gain any spool time going from a cast stocker to the megan?

Tell you the truth it really wasn't noticeable if there was. The more I read I should have just kept the stock one on. I got it for free with the car at the time and it just came out, so I threw it on.

anyone else? Its just those 3, tomei is topmount I belief, or at least all the picture of ppl with it it was. So its out. What do you think, mostly likely a GT2871R will be the turbo I use. If I go Megan I will be using an OEM gasket since I hear the one it comes with sucks. I hear its rly prone to cracking, I hear to make it last u need an good set of mounts and possible a torque damper.

Yes use OEM gaskets. I replaced mine after it was on the car 4K because the gasket they supplied fell apart.

you from chicago or just chicago land area?

i was thinking about gett the stock manifold (Extrude honed/Swained) but idk where to get it done around here or how much it will cost. then i wana think about buying the ebay intake manifold... my freind has one on his and said it's lasted him about 2 years now and he drives pretty hard.

unless soem1 can prove it otherwise.

Don't buy Megan. Save your money and get the Full Race manifold. It doesn't matter if you don't want to spend a lot. There is a reason why they cost so much. They have been said to increase spool buy over 700 RPM. That is nothing to sneeze at.

Bump for Megan on the bottom mount manifold. It definitly gained me 20+whp over the stock manifold. Took my trap speeds up a decent bit higher too. Went from 114mph (stock manifold) to 117mph (Megan manifold). No spool difference but definitly helped in the top end.

Tomei Supreme manifold is bottom mount as far as i know. Probably one of the best looking and quality manifolds IMO.

Im going to get totally flamed for saying this but...... Im voting for ssautochrome on this one man. I know ALOT of people have had bad experiences with them in the past for some reason, and they got a bad name. I bought an ssautochrome exhaust and it is insanely nice for the money. Its the same as the Megan, if not better. Heres pics of my manifold. They speak for themselves.Ive had no problems with it at all. And its tubular, so theres going to be gains.

Anybody still remember the guy named randy who makes manifold himself and sells them on ebay.. Ive heard nothing but good things about them and they are built to full race spec's. For only like 500$.. His email is [email protected] Give him and email andim sure he will give you a link to an ebay site so you can check it out. That is if he is still doing it. I havn't heard much about him in a little while.

You have to assemble the support bracket. It takes all but 5 seconds. And you do lose your stock oil-catch-can (if you have one).

full race makes a bottom mout ex. manifold. I have a megan. Started leaking 3 months after i got it. I chucked my stock one and i wish i didnt. I guess its really a gamble...w/ ssautochrome and megan. Some people have gone a year withought any problems. I have always had bad luck, so i guess i should have expected it to happen. I saw the tomei one, but i think im gonna stick with th full race one...just have to save the money. Its pricey, expecially for a bottom mount.

No modifications need done to make the Megan manifold fit. Support brace is on the manifold itself and doesnt effect fitment, wether its there or not. Also you can keep the oil catch can. Just has to be mounted further away in between the brake cylinder and head.
