Now ive done a search on both Tein S. tech and Eibach sportlines. Ive been reading and some say the sportlines (w/Agx's) arent really good cause of the almost 2"drop can cause the life of the struts to go faster the usual. but ive also heard that it is a very common setup on 240's. and for the S. techs that they dont give a real "lowered" look. and one more question will camber plates be needed for either one?

as for my info i have a 240 f/b and im runnin on stock wheels and i want a good enough drop that will help in handling but will not wear out the agx's faster then normal

Eibach prokits work wonderuflly, so do S. tech, and tanabe gf210 springs.

-chetcamber plates wont(shouldnt) be needed if the drop is under 1.5"

Do not get sportlines

Suspension Technique's springs are worth a look too, they're linear in their spring rates. I love 'em. (my car has agx's as well)

"why not get cheap coilovers"

because for most people, coilovers aren't necessary..hell 70% of people who own them didnt need them. seriously.

as per the question at hand, dust boots are nice, I dont have them on my car, because I am actually just testing this suspension out, them will turn to coilovers once I finish the other aspect my car is lacking(power...163rwhp aint cutting it) and weight reduction, I may be using a different type. but for longevity of the suspension, dust boots would be nice.

as far as other things..not really, get an alignment after installing it..check your strut mounts, make sure they're still in good condition...

I would reccoment getting some heim join T/C rods for the front, so you can adjust caster and also firm up the suspension feel a bit..but that's hardly necessary.-chet

well if you are serious about your car, you might as well get coilovers in the first place instead of getting shock/springs, selling, getting coilovers later. thats all i meant.

serious about your car? theres a big difference between being serious about your car and needing coilovers.....

last I checked coilovers were overkill for 90% of the car enthusiest population.

if you're going to corner weight/adjust the car, run it on a slalom course/skidapad or multiple tracke vents to adjsut the damper/height and alignment settings..then yes...get coilovers.

but like I said, even people WITH coilovers..I'd wager 7/10 dont need them.-chet

well... if you want hard springs with a shock and spring combo, pretty much your only option is advance design or revalved konis. and when you get to that point, you might as well just get an entry level coilover, imho.

Unless you run 17x9 +30 at all four corners like me :D. Then coil-overs wont work. I'm still doing research into what I want/need on my car for my driving style. Without needing the kidney belt if possible!

r33 gtr wheels (chromed no less) they look very nice on the 98 240sx se. Gives the car a beefy, mean look. Now it just needs some horsepower to back up the look.

I thought about using the wheels on my 300zx, but they looks so nice on the 240sx, it would be a shame to put something else on there.

I'll wash and wax the car soon and post a picture or two.

I was going to go with 5zigens, but I like the look of the gtr wheels much better. Only downside is no coil-overs.

The wheels are flush now. I don't want some ghetto stuck way too far out the wheel well look. Plus it's not as safe and I would have to order longer lug bolts. The wheels stay the way they are, even if it means I can't run coil-overs.

17x9 +30 is deffinitley not flush. bolt on spacers arent dangerous in the least. maybe if you try to run a 100mm sandwitch spacer or somthing retarded. you dont have to order huge studs if you get a bolt on spacer. whatever dude its not my car, if you want to waste your time with shock and spring go ahead.
