I would actually say the OBX coilovers are better bang for the buck!

well since i cant get a good answer i might as well join in. if you guys want 50HP you gotta put 2 apc stickers on your car. trust me on this one. and some guy told me that when you put neons under your car it makes you handle on rails. it ionizes the air creating a vacum much like some of the old f1 cars. true story.

Not sure if this will help or not, but I bought a set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs for my soon-to-be S14. The drop is supposed to be about 1 to 1.5 inches...and I've never neard anything negative about anything Eibach as far as handling goes. :)

Eibach is bad handeling wise, they just lie about their lowering heights. The ProKit on an S13 is advertised as 1.75", it is actually .75". And thier Sportlines are advertised at 2.2", it is actually 1.75". They handle great tho.

Dang, is that one sentence? Geez. The Eibach Pro-Kits are great for overall performance, Sportlines are more looks. Another set to look at is Intrax, 1.75" drop, with rates similar to the Pro-Kit. I have a set and love them. Make sure you match them with a good set of struts though, I've learned that Tokico Blues don't like anything lower than 1.5", and that the warranty is not covered when going lower than 1". They bottom out a little on tight autocross courses.

Sprint are the typical "low and cool" springs. Not very performance oriented.

some guy told me when i replaced my battery, (i got an optima top, man i can really feel a difference in hp when i turn the ignition key, like between 0-500 rpms) that i had to replace my shift knob to a rubber one cause my metal one acts as a conductor between the mechanical insides of the car, and the car gets mad when our bodies steal it's voltage. don't eat your car's soul it loves you

you wont be disappointed with the prokit. i put them on about 6 months ago they're great. not too low definitely and improvement jsut make sure to get new struts i drove with the factory ones for a week til my GR-2's came in. it was scary drivng at all any lil bump or imperfection in the raod would make the car feel like it was goin to buonce over the car in front of it or slide out even when goin straight.

my pro kit rocks... very tight/hard ride, but awsome control, Pro-Kit isn't supposed to drop it as much...

I guess it all depends on if you want comfort or performance.

Eibach springs are progressive rate springs, which means the spring rate changes based on the amount of pressure applied. This is good for comfort, but can be a nuissance for predictability on the track and while drifting. However, because the spring rate is lower under normal driving conditions, they tend to feel more comfortable.

Linear springs are generally better for the track and drifting, because they have a constant spring rate no matter how much pressure is applied. 99% of coilovers have linear spring rates. Typical coilovers are around 5-10kg, and most people will tell you that the ride is somewhat bumpy.

I have yet to see this information on stock s14 spring rates, but the stock mushy s13 spring rates are 1.8kg all around.

So my conclusion, and opinion, is that the KGMM s21 supersport springs, (4.6kg/4.0kg) are probably the best, because they are lower than 5kg so they don't ride like arse. They're linear springs so the spring rate will not change on you. And they only lower the car supposedly 1.6", so they leave plenty of suspension travel.

If anyone has pictures of their car with KGMM springs I'd like to see them myself. I just ordered a set a couple days ago.

Although, when dropping your car it's a good idea to look into aftermarket shocks. Typically oem shocks like to konk out under the added stress of upgraded springs.
