So I'm getting new wheels soon and I'm debating which to get. Ok so I'm not asking you to choose between some works and ssr's but give me your thoughts.

I have a primered black pignose hatch.

So I'm either getting Sportmax 501:16x8 all around +15 offset 2.5" lipThey sit pretty flush, but are not unique at all and smaller lip.

Or XXr 513:16x7 front +15 offset 2.5" lip16x8 rear 0 offset 3.5" lipOnly oner person on Nico has them so they'd be pretty unique. Rear is 0 offset and i dont have coils so hard to pull off. Way bigger lip though.

both of those suck. get 002s.

16x8, zero offset. the best looking sportmaxes there are, in my opinion. and still only like, 400 bucks for the wheels shipped.

i say, cut springs, get 002s, paint them to your liking, two tone preferably, perhaps new face color, keeping polished lip.

sickness on a budget, i can dig it.

id say you should do your suspension/stance first, then get some wheels to make it even better. but even sweet wheels look like poop under a 4x4 240.

but you can make youre own decision, thats just my two cents.

DON'T get the 501's i have those and give them 2 thumbs down...The're mocked up to look like two pieces, but those little plastic (BOLTS) fall out and then it just looks gay...I'd say get the 002 also, but dont cut your springs just wait until you can afford coilovers

sportmax = over****in rated. save up get some real wheels or some other off brand non played out wheels. My girlfriend even knows sportmax's are gay. When she goes to car shows she laughs at people with them.

Yeah, but you can always tell somebodys got cut springs by the uneven bounce of the car... It looks funny to me....It doesnt have that stiff coilovers bounce live its uneven in the front and the back...

Even if I had to choose between just those two wheels, I would still choose stock steelies over any sportmax wheel.

Save your money for something better.

i would seriously just check local 240sx/drifting sites. craigslight, nico etc... and find some used wheels. i paid $500 for my Epsilon mesh wheels with BRAND NEW tires just cause i gave it time to find them.

thanks for your responses.i already have some teins that came with the car and i just ordered some gr-2s so i can have decent ride quality until i get coilovers which is up there on my to buy list. im not paying 1500 dollars for some works or volk. its just ridiculous. i could get meshies but i dont reallty like how they look.im also not getting 002s cuz everyone has them. and to all you who laugh at sportmax wheel owners: they most likely wont break (especially since im not tracking my car) and they're great wheels for someone on a budget.

no, that doesnt look good.

which is exactly why i ****ing said that suspension/stance should be done first, THEN wheels.

jesus, no aftermarket wheels look good with 4x4 status.
