Which speakers should I replace? rear or front?

I want to get a set of Polk Audio DB651s, but not sure if I should replace the front or back.

I am running:

Pioneer Avic z120bt
Pioneer GM-D9500F Amplifier
Pioneer TSSWX251 Sub

I am still in the process of installing all of the components.

If you are only replacing one or the other, then the obvious choice would be replace the front.

How do you like the AVIC Z120?

Its pretty sweet.... I don't like that you can't watch DIVX movies from a SD Card... (that I have found yet)

Also, the UI for the iPOd is a little slow... I have radio A.D.D and I decide if i want to listen to the song based off the first 0.5 secs of the song... it takes about 2 secs to scroll to the next song.

Front speakers are closer to your ear. Rear speakers are for the rear seat passengers and on occasion fill for front speakers on faded recordings. 9 Times out of 10 the audio coming from front and back is exactly the same, you should put the speaker which reproduces the audio in higher quality closer to your ear.

some aftermarket head units put more power to the rear speakers to equalize the distance because they figure you are going to put more power to the front if you choose to do a 4 speaker setup.

I'm going to go with a 2 channel amp to power 6.5" components for my setup and have an aftermarket head unit power the rear 6x9's. I could do a 4 channel amp, but then that would mean more labor and material for the speaker wire for the 6x9's which I don't want to do. Since the 6.5" in the front have a shorter distance, upgrading the wire will be cheaper
