Hey guys I want to get some front speakers for my s13. So the size is going to be 4"X6" And I found 2 good speakers. Here's the list

Infinity 4" x 6" 2-Way Car Speakers with Plus One Cones

VS

Pioneer 4" x 6" 3-Way Car Speakers

Here's the detail link

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...egory

I checked on "compare items" but they are really close. So can you guys tell me what would you guys choose if you guys have to pick one.

Thanks

Since they're both from Best Buy, go there and listen to them. Then you can decide which ones sound better to you.

I would get 6.5" speaker adapters and get something that actually sounds good. ( I don't like 4x6's)

I bought some of the eGay PVC front door adapters (4x6 to 6.5) for my S13 hatch. They are 1/4" thick and I have Infinity Reference 6.5 components in them. The woofers are 1 15/16" deep and I have no issues with them touching/hitting the window glass (I have manual windows). I don't remember how much room there was to spare but IIRC it was at least another 1/2" or so.

There is no comparison between the Pioneer and the Infinity speaker. In my opinion the Infinity is far and away the best made and sounding.

I would not go to Best Buy though.

The Kappa is the best Infinity and you can find them on line by searching and comparing the cost plus shipping...some ship free.

Now Pioneer does have some bomb head units and I am buying the FH-P800BT so I am not putting Pioneer down.

If your looking to buy something that he carries (some pretty good stuff I must say) he is the way to go.

Thanks man! I really appreciate it!

Also to the OP, I do carry many other brands than what I have on sale. So just let me know if there is something particular you need or a different size than what I have on sale.

To the OP:

You're nuts man! Those speakers are a rip off. I have the Infinity 4x6 plate components in my dash right now. They're painfully bright, lack any midrange at all, and just seem to be lacking something in general.

Here is a badass set of components that you can get for ~$125 shipped DLS C6.

They're amazingly clean, get pretty loud, and don't require too much power. If you don't have an amp here's a very cost efficient one:

Pioneer GM-5300T It's a badass little amp that puts out a good amount of real power

Put this combination in your 240 and you'll have a great setup for a little over $200. You can't beat that with a stick.

I have been around for a while and these components DL and Exodus... I never heard of. The reason they make different speakers is for different people. I will stick with my choices................some of us do not want to announce to the neighbors that we are approaching. Some of us find we can appreciate the music in our cars without competing with the car next to us at the stop light. That does not make you or me wrong but, we all do not have to have the same setup.

A good set of speakers and an amp doesn't necessarily mean that you are going to be slamming down the street. It does for the most part mean that it is going to sound better. As far as the sound of speakers are concerned, Infinitys do tend to be a bit tinny, what PMQ is recommending I honestly haven't ever heard before but I know he's not an idiot and has been around for a bit.

Thanks Converted

I personally have a set of the 4x6s in the front of my car. Like I said, they are painfully bright and lack everywhere else . I'll be swapping them out with a set of DLS PS4s

If you're curious about DLS type in "DLS sound quality" into googlle

1 more question. Like if I am going with the 6.5" But that speaker has a 2-5/16" Top-mount depth is it going to fit? Thanks!

Well being a Circuit City supervisor/sales rep in the Car Audio/Multimedia department I'd thought I'd chime in. My personal opinion, I would say go with the infinitys! VERY good sounding speaker! Very clear! But you have to ask urself, what type of sound are you looking for? Do you want more mid-bass or an overall "home theater" sound in ur car? The pioneers might offer more mid-bass but I think the infinitys sound better. Like I said before, this is my personal opinion and what sounds good to me might not sound good to you. Any other questions just let me know!

Yea I know Infinity is like really clear. But pioneer has more bass. I like my speakers with more bass so that's why I would go with pioneer. But now I am going to get the 6.5" speakers. Thanks for all the help!

You work at Circuit City. LOL. That's like choosing the best turd out of a pile of poop. Whichever one you get is still going to be $hit.

Please don't get the Pioneers or the Infinitys. I've used both of them. They suckass. But whatever, you can get whatever the f*ck you want. it's your money to waste. Have fun.

And yes, I'm kind of pissed off.

You guys keep coming in here asking about speaker choices. Then when the resident gurus offer advice you shun it in favor of what some pimply faced kid at your local electronics place says. Yes, we do know better then you! Converted has had more experience in car audio then me. I've got about 6 years under my belt in cars. 8 more in Home audio. We know what sound quality is. If you are going to come in here asking for thoughts/suggestions/opinions with the preconceived notion that your decision is right please just don't ask. Go to your local Best Buy or Circuit city and listen to the crap that they have. Yeah, one will sound better then the other while you're there, but it's all relative. Compared to other brands everything that Best Buyt and Circuit City carries is total crap, AND it's the same price.

It makes no f*cking sense when someone chooses to pay the same price for a lower quality product.

You came here asking about two different products. I told you the truth about those products, AND then offered you options that cost almost the same exact that are 100 times better then your first two choices. Yet you're choosing to stick to one of your first choices. Big surprise.

If you're going to ask for assistance just ask for suggestions and give us a price range. We'll suggest only the best products in that range, but when you come in here asking about two products and ask for opinions about them. Then you choose to ignore that advice.

PMQ,

Please put it back on simmer. I like my little corner of NICO because its rare that there is a flame fest in here.

OP,

Infinity speaker:Loud: YesLots of treble: YesGood SQ: Not so muchCircuit City: I worked there for 3 months while I learned only to realize it was a hack shop and some of the guys there were stealing stereos out of the cars they were putting them in.

We are only here to help with you picking out a good speaker. I've had the opprotunity to listen to installs where just the labor was probably 20x what your car is worth. I'm not saying that to be a snob but I've heard lots of things IN CARS and not on a soundboard, and that does make a huge difference. We have heard most speakers and made opinions based on real world experience so take it as you may.

I just want you to know that I got the Infinitys in the mail and returned them. I did hear what you were saying and I am sorry it seems as if you are not appreciated, it is just some of us are kind of thick and stubborn............ I will look into the DLs simply because you are so passionate, there must be a reason for such passion and I am not stupid, so thank you.

No it's not. Converted came in a stole my position!

Atleast he knows what he's talking about. Unfortunately I've dedicated more time then him to Nico. So I was expecting to be atleast asked about it when Simmsled resigned
