hey guys i got a bone stock s13 coupe ryte now and i got a big dilemma... ryte now i could get a complete used set of koni adj yellows all round with eibach prokits on them... it has been used for 5 months and no drifting on them.. also it was on jacks for a whiel due to a sr swap... all i gotta do is bolt it on to my car..all that for 425... but now im deciding should i juss go tokico blues or even kyb gr2... with some ground controls... becuase this is goign to be a daily driver car and i realize that i dont really need adjustables becuase i only drift like 3 times out of the weekend and those dont even last for about 10 minutes... so which way should i go? is yellow adjustables really all that great when i could juss settle for sum set ones? help me out please

I'd say grab them up as long as you can still get them warrantied. If not , then its up to you. If you didn't get the yellows, I wouldn't go with the Tokico HP Blues. We've installed a lot of them at my shop, and they tend to wear out rather quickly, and the comebacks on them are of a higher ratio than some of the cheaper dampeners we sell. GR2s are pretty good, and since you aren't really looking for an adjustable, I think you'd be pretty happy with them as a daily driver. But if I had to choose, I'd grab the Konis/eibach setup. Hella decent price. Damn, try and talk them down if you can...used is used:)

Actually, the old front OE struts have to be cut and then a hole drilled in the bottom. The Koni's bolt in to the old housing. The ones for the rear are a straight bolt in.

Since this has already been installed in another car, the hard part should be done already. IMO, the Koni's are much better shocks than either the Tokico's or the GR2's. I believe the Koni's can be re-valved too, if that's important to you.

As long as the Koni's are in good shape, I'd personally go with them.

They are coming off another S13, right?

Where are you getting a full coilover set for $700 and what coilovers are they? I would go for the coilovers, but I plan to be going to the track more and am working on getting my RB swap, so I need the preloading and adjustability. The AGX's with Eibachs are a good system and have been proven over and over, but the Koni's are a better dampener in my opinion. Just get something that you won't be tempted to upgrade again in a couple of months.
