hi im new to the whole sr20 addiction...i was wondering if someone can help me...i just picked up a sr20det red top swap and was wondering which sensors do i use the USD or JDM. the motor came with a JDM ecu if that helps. i would think it would be the JDM sensors because im using a JDM ecu but i want to make sure...doesnt the sensor read in kilometers. and my cluster gauge reads mph. hmm... not to sure please help me out...oh yeah does the JDM cluster fit directly in...what mods do i need to make...thanks

You can use either speed sensor, JDM or USDM. The change is made in the gauge itself, not the speed sensor. Instead of putting in the JDM cluster just take out the JDM SR tach that has the 7500rpm redline (or 7000rpm redline for S14's) and swap that gauge into your cluster.

Use the SR engine harness, ECU, and sensors. But on the lower harness that runs from the positive battery terminal to the transmission harness you need to use the USDM harness. All the US connectors will fit onto the JDM starter, alternator, speed sensor, and oil pressure sensor. But you will need to splice in the neutral position sensor and reverse sensor if you want them to work.

If you use your gauge cluster, which you should, then just use the speed sensor out of your USDM transmission so its guaranteed to work and use the coolant temp sensor(the one for your guages, its a single prong connector) from your KA. The other two prong connector is for the ecu, that needs to the matching with your ecu which will be the SR ecu.
