Hey NICO,

We are trying to decide on seats now for the demo car. I have narrowed it down to two.

1.) Nex Racing Non-Reclinable Seats:

Molded from Fiberglass, each seat weighs in an incredible 14.7 pounds. I was kind of suprised to see McKinney Motorsports running these seats at first. They aren't JDM, and they aren't what you'd expect to see on a magazine car.

But after seeing that they are quite possibly the lightest seat on the market and they are really comfortable, I understand.

2.) Sparco Monza Reclinable:

We all know Sparco, we all know their quality. Downfall is their heavy.

Being 6'2" I will take a reclinable over anything. Not only that, but the Sparco styling and quality are pretty sharp (to my eyes).

If the car only ever sees one driver, get the light ones. If you are going to demo it with drivers/passengers, I am sure both the drivers and passengers would appreciate some adjustability in your insane (and insanely beautiful) car. Lasty, with that much power, why are you worried about the weight of two seats? Tell your drivers to go on a diet instead. :)

I agree with silkk - get some bride brix II seats, in black with the gradient pattern on the seat. DOPEST reclinable seats ever. If those are too out of the league, then the sparco's are a good substitute.

Torino's are sweet.

Plus if I buy a set I can have Torino's in my Torino. LOL. Ok, sorry to mention a Ford here.

The NEX are not as fasionable, but i know they do their job, PLUS they are light as hell (i could carry the box 2 seats with 4 brackets came in with no effort, i'm not saying i'm a muscle bound beef eating juice junky, i'm just saying they are that light). But if the car is going to be for mostly show, i'd say go name brand.

I don't really have an opinion on the seats, but I'd like to make one comment..

UM, I really like the fact that you're coming to NICO asking what our opinions are. It's kinda like your project car is also NICO's project, and thats really cool. props 2 u.. :)

I tell you man. So many shops would love to seek advice, but we're supposed to be the all -knowing.

I have no problems asking others for advice. Sometimes its easy to be blinded because I can think my car looks good, because its mine. It's hard to see fault in yourself, your car, your anything for that matter.....

So, I value NICO's input, and I like looking outside the box for advice.

Thanks!

Sparco. Who cares if they are heavy? Do you have a driver who is going to be pushing the car so competitively, that .001th's of seconds are going to be worth it?
