I just threw some larger wheels on my car, and now you can see my ugly OEM brake hardware

I'd like to put a fresh set of rotors on the car, and also have the calipers sandblasted, then I'll paint them black with a few coats of high-temp engine enamel.

Here are the two options I'm looking at:

However - I can't find the rear PowerSlot rotors...? I've looked on numerous different sites for the rear PowerSlot rotors, but came up with nothing? These look to cost around $170 for the front pair - not bad.

And then there's these rotors from Stillen:

http://www.stillen.com/sportsc...Brand=

They offer both front/rear sets, however they cost a quite bit more: Rear: $350, Front $225. $575 total! A little more than I'd like to pay for rotors if I have to!

Well I just wanted to get everyone's input - on a nice clean looking, quality rotor for a REASONABLE price! Thanks for the space.

Powerslots are known ot be fairly good..... ALl its going to mean if you spend less your going to have to replace them more frequently.. The question is, how much more frequently.

And whats up with PowerSlot not making the rear rotors - is it common for PowerSlot not to make a rear rotor, and just the fronts?

I'd rather spend $350 than $575 for the Stillen setup. With pads, I'm looking at almost $725 if I go with Stillen - a bit expensive in my opinon.

What do you think?

Are the brakes from a 300ZX a complete bolt-on?

Stupid question -- Z32 = 90-95 300ZX, right?

Yep, it should be the same as the Q.. Just little tweaks here and there, nothing major..... Read my posts on the Z32 brakes.

Well I purchased a new set of front brake pads, and I'm going to turn the rotors. Until I can make a decision for an upgraded set...

I'll look into the Z32 setup. I just don't want to purchase parts, and have them not work correctly.

So the 300ZX uses the exact same caliper as the J30?

Wes: You have the Z32 brakes on your Q45?

If you could shoot me over a link to your posts about the Z32 brake swap, I'd appreciate it. I searched but couldn't come up with anything...

Basically, all around the Stillen setup costs right under $600 (all rotors, nice set of pads all around).

I'm going to head over to Everything Infiniti, and price the rotors/pads from the 300ZX.

Thanks!

Just priced the following from Infiniti:

93 300ZX w/Turbo:

Front rotors - 150Front pads - 45Rear rotors - 180Rear pads - 45Enamel for calipers - 10

Total: $435

So basically over the Stillen rotor/aftermarket pad setup you save $175 or so...

What do you guys think?

Is that all the stuff needed Wes?

Thanks!

The Z32 has fixed calipers as opposed to the sliding one on your car.

Personally I wouldnt feel like messing with Z32 brakes, IMO not worth the trouble.

I saw some nice slotted drilled rotors on ebay for like 200 for all four. Pads from Joe and your set. Including fluid and labor you should come to about 400 for all 4 corners.
