Im going to be getting a new radiator for my RB swap. Wondering which radiator between the one built for a KA or one for the SR?

Looks like Ill be going with the Koyo and it seems they only make it for the S14 SR. But if I were to go with Fluidyne, I'd get a choice.

So does it really matter which engine I get it for?

I just got my Fluidyne...it's gorgeous. But I've seen Koyos as well....I would get the Fluidyne made for the KA...I believe the hose fitment will be easier.

The prices Im finding Fluidyne are about $100 more then the koyos. Is it just different outlets that makes the ka and sr radiators different?

Cyris, what kind of fans are you using? I was a little worried about heat because im over here in the blistering desert. Hoping the koyo and some electric fans will take care of it though.

I have the Koyo with a 14 and 12 inch fan set up. When running at 75-80 it holds about 180-195 when put under a harder load like a hill it hits 210. The problem I see is airflow, with the big frontmount and small opening in the front lies the problem. Another is the stock thermostat opening at 76 C like 180 -195 whatever it is. I am researching a cooler replacement thermostat that we can get here in the states which should help some. In cooler outside temps like morning or evening mine runs at 180 or a little under. But yesterday on the way to La with the outside temp at some points at 96 my my temp never went over 210.

No pics yet and no A/C. The fans are mouted both in the front of the Radiator pushing. But I may move the 12" to the rear and have one pushig and one pulling and try that setup.

crysid if your motor is really thrashed thru venus maybe something is physically wrong which is causing the heat.. I think a cracked head will do that won't it guys? a waterpump with a worn bearing would too. I'm sure a blown head gasket would too

hashiriya, do you think that 2 14" fans would fit? (in front of the rad.) or is that why you went with one 12 one 14?

The only way you could use the two large fans would be 1 front and 1 rear. My setup left the 12" a little bit off the side of the radiator. It also depends how far forward your motor is. due to the depth of the fan it may fit in the front.
